Man, he loves this city. He would move here if he could, but Lida's pretty content where she is and honestly, she calls all the shots in their "marriage" - if you can call it that - so Donnie's left with Apparating over every chance he gets and enjoying it when he can. It's his day off from work today; the weather's slowly turning from sun to soft autumn breezes so he's wrapped up in a coat and scarf, nursing a steaming coffee in one hand and a book on astrophysics in the other, wandering aimlessly down the street as he searches for a bench or somewhere else to sit.

Adela shouldn't be wandering alone-she usually had some security nearby but today she was lone. She accidentally (genuinely did) lost them in the previous two blocks. It wasn't more so the crowds and anyone potentially recognising her was really the worry, it was more so Adela being so lost in her head that she'd be hit by something. The danger wasn't other people, it was herself. And most people would have realised this, but not Adela-she didn't really mind it all. She liked them. They never left her company. It was, albeit, because they were paid to but they didn't quit, which was good! However, she had a premonition that she should go down this street and so she did, one hand holding her scarf whilst the other was twirling a coin through her fingers, her eyes darting around the semi-busy street. "I believe the people just down there are going to depart, Donnie," she said, coming near a somewhat familiar face and, like she said, two people got up (they were clearly together) and walked down the street, leaving an open bench.

When he hears the familiar voice, his eyes snap up, directly into the low-sitting sun which nearly blinds him. Then he manages to get his bearings and sees- "Your Royal Highness," he grins, giving her a very dramatic bow, arms outstretched and coffee nearly spilling if it wasn't for the lid. Donnie doesn't know Adela too well, mostly through connections between their families and the fact that his dad has made sure Donnie is introduced to as many royals as possible. You can never have too many connections. "Just when I need you, you turn up. Without any guards, for some reason." He glances down the street, frowning a little. "Did you manage to lose them?"

Adela had the faintest smile when he bowed, finding good humour in it rather than being annoyed by the action like some in her family would be. She had a hunch that he acts like this all the time. "I do have a habit of finding myself right where I need to be. My guards? Oh-they're right-" Adela turned her head to point them out to him but, alas, they were nowhere in sight. She pressed her finger to her lips in slight puzzlement. "I must have. They'll find me in sixteen minutes. I don't think I walked that far but alas-they must have gotten distracted window shopping."

Her specificity puzzles him for a quick second until he remembers. "Ah, of course. Your little Mystic Meg thing," he grins, tapping his forehead with a smirk. The bench is empty just as she'd predicted, so he makes his way over, taking a seat and placing his books and coffee beside him before tapping the space on the other side to invite her. "Join me! Let's use these sixteen minutes before you're so cruelly stolen away from me."

"Mystic Meg? Is that what they're calling it nowadays? Better than..." she trailed off as she began to try and remember what they use to call her as a child. This might have taken longer than it should have but eventually she clicked her fingers. "Third eye." Adela was almost instantly moving by the time he offered (again, a hunch) and perched herself onto the seat. "So you're not working today, aren't you? I haven't heard what you're doing these days."

He smiles as Adela sits down, glad that they're out of the sun and in the shade so he can see properly. "The Ministry has set me free for a day, it seems," he says. "I'm in the Space Room nowadays, trying to get us on Mars before WizCo does - which is a pretty impossible task, to be honest, but at least it's interesting." It's not; the Ministry is, of course, his father's choice of occupation for him, and he'd like to keep his inheritance, thank you very much. "What about you, ma'am? Why is a French princess waltzing around Lincliff all on her lonesome?"

"The space room?" Adela echoed, her thoughts drifting off, "why is Mars the end point? Surely exploring the stars would be more fascinating than the planet of red. We could explore black holes, different galaxies....oh....I was wanting to see the city. I've only ever seen it before through windows and pictures. I've never explored it. And, Adela, please. Or Trephine if you must. Or both. Ma'am makes me think I'm my mother," she mused.

“Would you mind coming into the Ministry and explaining that to my boss?” he smirks, half-joking; trust me, Mars is the least of his interests when there are so many other things to explore in space, things the Muggles haven’t even reached yet, but it all falls on deaf ears in the Ministry office. “Of course, mi’lady,” he adds, bowing again before giggling like a kid. He lives to wind people up, he really does. “How’s the family, then? Any more weddings to look forward to?” Hopefully he can actually attend the next one, or at least the reception.

Adela paused at the question before beginning to utilise her powers to try and find some thing. "....I don't think there'll be a wedding in the near future. At least not in the royal circles." This was a part lie, she could see an engagement was about to begin. But she wasn't going to discuss it, especially not knowing exactly which parties were involved. "Which is a shame, I do enjoy the royal events. My aunt has to behave, for one." His laughter brought back that smile onto her face, even though the reaction wasn't quite what she wanted. But there was something so...indulgent about Donnie, like an annoying little brother that could do no wrong. "But between you and me, we're all ticking down the days until my dear cousin can take the throne."

"Ah yes, little Jude," he nods, recognising the name; he's never met the young prince, but heard of him, the same way he's heard of all the Pendragons but never had chance to meet half of them. "How old is he now? Sixteen? You'll be marrying him off soon, too." Hell, even he himself had been married off, and he's not even royal.
