LinlithgowPalace

What muggles believe to be the ruins of Linlithgow Palace, situated in the town of Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, is actually home to the heir apparent of the throne, Prince Arthur, his wife Princess Maud, their children, and Prince Arthur's sister Princess Mary, her husband Prince Cornelius, and their children. Because the palace is now a visitor attraction in the care of Historic Environment Scotland, it is not uncommon to find muggles exploring little parts of the castle.

Sophia hadn't come to this castle in a few months (she use to come often, considering the inhabitants) but after her divorce and subsequentially finding out about the return of a certain bodyguard, she'd kept her distance. What had she even done with her time? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. She'd done a few royal events but for the most part she's kept on a low profile. Caught up on her books and films that she'd been putting off for years. Travelled a little bit. That was it. What a boring life she leads. It use to be full of spice, full of drama, full of life but now she's been...domesticated. How depressing. However, she had to come this weekend. It was the birthday of one of Charlotte's kids. Don't ask Sophia which one, she doesn't know and she barely remembers their names except the one who has her name. Apparently, she couldn't back out of this one. She wasn't even sure Scarlett knew all their names and the only reason Charlie did was because she was Charlie. She had come, dutifully, given her warm regards to all involved and had avoided a certain bodyguard. Not purposely, not at all, she just happened to be on the other side of the room as him. As of that moment, she was watching the never ending train of drinks leaving the bar. Her doctor told her no to alcohol but she'd heard of people becoming socially non-sober and they were fine. Her doctor told her she was not at this stage, especially after her divorce. Yada yada yada. For the first time since her divorce, she actually missed having a partner. She missed having someone at her side for these sort of things as compared to her sitting alone looking for a cousin to talk to. Once upon a time, a bored Sophia spelt trouble. Not now, apparently. Maybe she should stage a kidnapping. That would spice things up.
