Justin was hungry - heck, he was hungry all the time - so he'd wandered off here in search for food. Immediately he smelled food. His stomach was already growling, so why not give it a shot? He sat down on a table by himself and after he ordered his meal he took out a book to read and didn't pay attention to anyone else.
Eugene entered the almost empty restaurant and sought a place to sit. He wasn't really used to dining alone, he spent every meal during his summer with someone so just the thought of eating alone made him kind of depressed. He looked across the restaurant, looking for a familiar face without realising how awkward he looked, standing at the centre of the dining hall.
Oops. He'd been noticed, but the other guy seemed to take it lightly. "Uh, no. Feel free to sit." Justin put away his book, just to be polite. "Sorry for staring. I just have a habit of staring at people for no reason."
"Yeah, I just enrolled in fifth year." he explained. "My parents and I just moved here from the States." he continued, "I've been at Ilvermorny for the past four years. How about you?" he asked with a gentle smile.
"I hope we'll be seeing each other in the common room then." he said with a grin. "Back at Ilvermorny, I was sorted in the Horned Serpent, so I think Ravenclaw or Slytherin will be my house." he explained. "So what are the professors like?" he asked curiously.
"They're fine. Nothing to worry about." Justin said while stuffing himself with the food he ordered. He hoped he wasn't being impolite that way, but he was just super hungry. "Sometimes it's the students you gotta worry about, but as long as you don't touch or bother one of the not-so-nice ones, you're fine."
"Bon appetit." he said while waiting for his food to come. "Hopefully I won't push anyone's buttons the wrong way." Eugene continued. "I got along with pretty much everyone at my old school. Hopefully Hogwarts won't be any different, I hope."
"Cool." Justin cleared his plate. Wow, he was full. He would definitely come back sometime - this place was awesome. "Anyway, you just need to study up before the year. Some of the things the professors ask don't even make a lot of sense, and there's O.W.L.s and stuff to worry about." Justin glanced at Eugene. "You're a fifth year? Sixth?"
"Fifth. Although I don't have a clue what to take for my O.W.L.s, right now I'm not really sure what I want to do with my life." he said a bit nervously while taking another bite of his food. Deliciouos.
"Come back to eat more of this stuff. It's awesome. Aside from that, I'm free. Sometimes I hang out at the library to study up and sometimes tutor some people." Justin shrugged. "Maybe we could hang out in the dorms. After all, you're either going to be in Ravenclaw or Slytherin."
He waits in a dining booth for Hesita to arrive. Wearing a pair of denim jeans, a long sleeve, cotton, green shirt and his usual brown boots freshly polished. He is a little nervous seeing as Eugene has got it in his mind now that this might actually be a date so he’s at least done his best to be tidy and clean, yet still looks forward to seeing Jordan again.

Hestia had come straight from work so her attire was slightly less pristine, a pair of dark jeans and a patterned shirt she'd hastily thrown on before racing over here. She'd completely lost track of time that morning so her clothing choices had been whatever she could grab from her wardrobe on her way out and her shoes, well she was still wearing her black work shoes. Either way she came to a stop inside the restaurant only a couple of minutes late, she scanned the room for him thankful for the last couple of years of training that meant she wasn't out of breath from the run round from where she'd apparated to.
He smiled at the slightly flushed and ruffled Jordan and waved her over towards him. “Hi Jordan, you look quite nice today, was work alright?”

She spotted him only just before he waved, a look of relief flashing onto her face mainly because it meant she hadn't in fact completely messed up her timing. "Hey Rafael" She smiled dropping into the seat opposite him "Work was fine, pretty slow day honestly"
Sebastian waits in a more tidy attire than when he and Eilis met. He wears a buttoned up green, long sleeve green cotton shirt with dark blue denim jeans, and a pair of oiled leather boots. Sipping a complimentary glass of water, and counting the number of ice cubes in the jug on the table, he patiently waits for Eilis to arrive. Going over what he remembers of Eilis in his mind he thinks to himself. 'I suppose she doesn't remember who I am since we never did formally introduce each other. I just noticed her and paid attention to who her name was in Hogwarts, especially after noticing that she was the one student I recognized going to church on Sundays...or any other days for that matter.'

She arrived just a few minutes later than she expected. "I'm so sorry if I kept you waiting," she said, taking her seat. "I visited a family today and the conversation just took a lot longer than I anticipated. They had more questions than I'm used to-- and I'm used to quite a lot," she said with a chuckle.
He nods with a chuckle. "Gosh that brings back memories. My parents were more confused than I was at the idea of knots and sickles. It has a strange conversion to the USD. But mostly they were thankful that there was a good explanation for my strange 'miracles'. Because healing people is all well and good, but making things levitate looks a little more...well...demonic I guess haha." He chuckles nervously, remembering the salt circles, sprays of holy water, and his mother wanting him to wear a silver cross to bed at night.

"Well at least yours were grateful," she said rolling her eyes. "The Ministry's visit was more like the final nail in the coffin for me, than any sort of relief."
His left eyebrow raises at that comment. "So what was your experience with Magic with your NoMag or Muggle family?"
Eilis O'ReillyRavenclaw Alumna -"The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outside of a person. But the Lord looks at what is in the heart." – 03:09, March 7, 2019 (UTC)~
"Two words for the same idea," she said. "But I'm Irish, so they're Muggles, to me." She sighed. "I think my parents were about ready to splash that poor man with Holy Water. And after he left, and my magic was confirmed... they were afraid that any sort of relation to me would spell the end of their time in heaven." She rolled her eyes. "So they kept me locked in my room, letting me out to eat or do chores. And if they had to speak to me..." her voice held much contempt as she finished her story, "they did so only in prayer."
He looked down at his hands, thinking over her words before speaking. "If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother he has seen cannot love the God he has not seen. And we have this command from Him: The one who loves God must also love his brother." He looks up and meets Eilis' eyes with a smile. "John 4:19 Verse 21. It was something my parents always reminded me when I was worried I wouldn't be accepted by others. We are taught to love one another, never to hate or fear, especially kin. But even strangers we are to welcome, for were we all not strangers in this land at one point?" Sebastian shakes his head. "Its not right, nor moral that you'd become such an outcast to your family."

She gave him a tight-lipped smile. "And I could quote straight back at you all the stuff from Deuteronomy, Galations, Revelations, Micah... that all preach specifically against magic and witchcraft. It's expressly forbidden in the Catholic church."
Sebastian nods and shrug with an easy smile. "Yeah well, the Old Testament is a fun read once in a while but I tend to follow the belief that Jesus' teachings and the New Testament are a little more up to date." He tries to joke but can see the serious expression and drops his attempt at humor. "I try to go along with the idea that God is the one, true judge in this life. I know i've committed sins but have tried to live the best life possible. I can't judge a person's soul, and bad experiences with magic makes people naturally hesitant or judgmental about anyone who practices the art."

"Galations and Revelation are both in the New Testament," she pointed out. "Galations was written by Paul, and many believe that his teachings were second only to Christ's."
Sebastian chuckles to himself in mirth. "Okay you have me there. We are also taught that to look upon a woman with lust is adultery, that all lying is a sin, that what I and you have as a gift means we're in collusion with Satan himself." He shakes his head. "If I were to believe that the gift, that I believe God has indeed blessed us with, is truly the work of Lucifer than I would never have picked up my wand or went to Hogwarts. God gives us these blessings and gifts, it is to me a true rebuke to God to ignore what he has given us."

She nodded. "That's what a friend of mine, also Catholic, and I grappled with in our school years. If everything that God makes is in His image... how could our magic be seen as an infliction?"
Sebastian nods. "It isn't an inflection. God has seen to us being blessed among those created in his likeness to have the ability to create miracles. Yes, as with all abilities it can be abused and used for evil, corrupted by the influence of the devil. But it is also able to be used for incredible acts of kindess and grace."

She nodded. "That's the conclusion we came to, as well. Probably that the magical ability is one that the Holy Spirit is imbued with."
Sebastian nods with a smile. “I suppose it’s understandable why most of Wizardkind is either Agnostic or totally Athiest. In fact, back in Hogwarts, you were the only person I recognised from school who regularly went to the church at the nearby Muggle town.”

She frowned. "You must have me confused with someone else. Hogwarts doesn't let kids go anywhere but Hogsmeade and Lincliff City..."
He shrugs. “Perhaps so, I tried to get away on Sundays when I could. Never spent much time in Wizard secioty during school. I’d often be in the library or some broom closet on Saturdays, then try to sneak away in the early morning hours on Sunday. I wasn’t always successful but slipped away and back again in the evening when I was quick. Being an only child, not having many friends and reading all the time did crate a wallflower facade.”

She nodded. "If there had been an option, I might have pursued in in my first two years. But after that... I was staying away from the church. I'm glad it sounds like you continued to find a way to get there."
He nods and frowns. “Yes I do try to go when I can, usually every other Sunday. But how come you don’t? I mean not every church will automatically call you a witch and ostracise you if you want to go to Sunday mass.”

She gave him a tight-lipped smile. "I had something very traumatic happen when I was thirteen... and it left me with a very sour taste in my mouth for the church as a whole. We'll just leave it at that."
He grins at that. “Yeah? Sounds like it would have been a fun time. I had a couple of instances of that while I was traveling through Northern Africa and the Middle East. Just a lot of friendly muggles and wizards opening up their home to me as a traveler. Most were good experiences...and others taught me lessons on being more cautious on where I choose to stay.” He chuckles to himself, remembering a few close calls where luck played an important part.

He nods with an easy smile. “Yeah fair enough, my mother was a real traveler back in her younger years. I suppose at this point i’m A little lost on the next step in my life and what my long term goals are in the future. So traveling is how my mother found my father and her destiny, and i’m really doing this traveling to hopefully find that same sign she found.” Sebastian stares off into space at the memories of his parents, left hand trembling, but gripping his necklace with his right hand ceased the shakes.
Coming back to reality he smiles sadly. “Have you thoughts much of where you see yourself 10 or 20 years from now?”

She shook her head. "I was lucky and got my dream job right out of school. I suppose I'd like to be married and have a family someday... but that's definitely still down the line. I have plenty of time for that."
He nods. “I suppose we all have time to figure these things out. I suppose for me it’s a bit of a cross roads of whether I should live a comfortable, quiet life while the world around me changes without my opinion voiced. Or to actually become more involved in trying to change the world around me for the better. A Moreno private or public life really.” He shrugs. “It’s a difficult choice in a lot of ways, since going down either path means it is hard or impossible to go the other direction.” He runs a hand through his hair and smiles. “I apologise for sort of laying my own personal thoughts on you, especially since we don’t really know each other very we’ll”

She shook her head. "It's fine. It's certainly better than awkward silence," she said with a smile.
He chuckles at her comment. “Yes that would be accurate. I also found Herbology to be quite interesting, especially how sentient some of those plants are. Even the young Mandrakes are kinda cute. But Poitions were always my favourite, the complexities and creativity of mixing together random ingredients was a lot of fun. Even now I still experiment with whatever ingredients I can grow and collect. Do you use any of that knowledge from Herbology and Magic History in your daily life?”

"Herbology not so much," she said. "But occasionally History of Magic." She paused. "I couldn't deal with potions for a long time. The image of the three witches from Macbeth kept coming to mind. Felt too... witchy," she said with a laugh.
Sebastian nods in understanding. “I suppose that make sure sense, it does seem very much like something Witches and Sorcery is associated. But for me it’s a great way to creating useful products that’s can protect people and save others life. I mean there’s is a potion that can grow back bones! I’d never thought such a creation would be possible when I didn’t know about magic. And also...I’m a bit of a pyromaniac..so making a few explosions can be fun haha. Although...” Sebastian pulls up the slevel on his left arm, revealing a large patch of scarred pale skin along his forearm. “It’s a dangerous business experimenting with new ingredients. That came from the first time I tried making a dragon’s breath potion. Very useful to start a fire even with wet wood when you go camping. But I didn’t take the safety precautions I should have and now keep this as a reminder of the danger that comes with my experiments.” He says with some pride but also caution.

She nodded. She knew that now, and hadn't needed the lengthy explanation, but she was used to being talked down to by men. "Sounds very interesting," she said with a serene smile.
He nods and smiles. "Interesting. And why have you liked that book for so long?"

"I liked anything that took me away to a different world," she said with a small smile.
Sebastian nods. "Its a very good classic. My mother read it to me as a kid." He checks his watch, realizing the time. "Wow, time sure does fly. I'm sorry but I need to leave, I have an important appointment to get to." He says as he stands up.
He led Ronan into the resturant, allowing the hostess to seat them in their private area. He pulled the chair out for Ronan, waiting until he was seated before sitting down himself. "I hope you'll like this place, I hear it's a really great place,"
Ronan followed his date into the establishment and sat down in the seat the other pulled out for him. “Thank you.” He smiled before examining the room and nodding. “Yeah I like this place, it has good food.”
That mentally made him a little calmer, feeling like this date would go well. "So, Ronan. I don't know much about you other then you're a Prince and an artist, but what's behind the titles?" He asked curiously, wanting to know more about Ronan and not Prince Ronan.
Admittedly, Ronan was never used to anyone asking about himself so he wasn't quite sure how to answer Flynn. "Hmmm..." He hummed, contemplating an answer. "You might be interested to know i didn't attend any of the wizarding schools." He wasn't completely sure if that was something interesting but it was the first thing to pop into his head. "I attended a muggle school for their art program."
"Really?" He said a little surprised, "You didn't go to the infamous Hogwarts?" He questioned, actually genuine curiosity in his voice. "I didn't know they would let you do that as a royal," He said, before readjusting his position. "So, what got you into art?"
His head moved in a shaking motion, moving a strand of hair that had fallen down into his face slightly. "My mother gave us the choice to attend a muggle primary school and when it came to choosing a school, she allowed me to choose a muggle private school." It was here that he paused, letting his words set in. "Oh, i had always been interested in art as a young child... as i grew older i guess it just became a passion."
"Oh, well I'm glad that you were able to do that then, follow your hearts desire," He told him with a small smile, before the waitress came over. "White wine please, with shrimp scampi and caviar," He asked, glancing at Ronan, "What would you like?"
Ronan's eye scanned the menu before gazing up at the waiter. "I'll just have the same as him." He answered, Flynn's choices sounding appealing to the prince's taste buds. "So, Chief investigator huh? how'd you come to be in such a high position?"
He guessed that question would come up, and he just shrugged a little as he thought. Waiting until the waitress left to answer, "Well, I was a police officer in America for a few years and when I transferred to England I thought, Hey, why not apply for the position? It was open and I had some skills, and then I got the job." He answered, feeling like it was really lack-luster.
Being apart of the royal family meant Ronan had to learn quite a few languages but, Norwegian was never his strong suit. “Maybe I can get some private lessons, I could never really grasp the language.” The prince slightly bite his lower lip, finding the others voice and accent quite sexy.
He grinned at that, "Of course, although my lessons don't come without a price~" He said with a wink, the waitress appearing with their wine and appetizer, which was some dates wrapped in bacon. They looked pretty tasty, "Here," Flynn picked one up by the toothpick and brought it up to Ronan's mouth, "Say ahh~"
Ronan stares at the appetizer for a moment,he wasn’t really used to these kind of things. Before he knew it, the prince was leaning in and biting the date of its toothpick - chewing it before letting it decend into his stomach. “Mmm tasty.” Ronan voiced, plucking up one of his own and bringing it up to Flynn. “Your turn.” He smiled
His heart fluttered a little as Ronan bit the date off the toothpick, he was just so attractive in so many different ways, and Flynn found himself being more and more attracted to the man sitting across from him. Flynn smiled a little and bit the date off the toothpick, making sure his lips grazed Ronan's fingers before leaning back and eating the appetizer, "Mmm, tasty indeed," He said once he was finished, taking a sip of his wine to cleanse his pallet. "I don't know if I told you yet this evening, but you look quite handsome tonight~"
The prince’s face took on a shade of red in his cheeks, not expecting the compliment at all. He’d admit, Flynn was well equipped in the appearance department and Ronan couldn’t help but feel attracted to him. Something stopped him though from fully diving into the flow of it all though, perhaps it was Ben. “You’re quite the charmer Mr.Petterson... you don’t look so bad yourself you know.”
He couldn't help but smile a little at that, leaning back in his chair as he tried not to let himself blush too much in front of the other man. "Why thank you, you're too kind," He said, taking another sip of wine to give him a moment to collect himself. "So Ronan, I was wondering... Do you like animals?"
His eyes sparkled at that, "Well then you'll get along just fine with my Border Collie Cocoa," He said happily, "She loves meeting people and was pretty sad that she couldn't come on our date tonight, but I'm sure if we go running together then we can bring her," He said casually, as if they really would go on a second or third date.
”Or she could just lie in bed with us...” Ronan voiced under his breath, not intending for Flynn to hear him. “I can’t wait to meet her, what kind of treats does she like?” He decided to say louder for the other to actually hear him. “I’ll have to bring her some to make up for stealing you.”
He grinned a little, hearing what Ronan had said and he had to admit he quite liked the idea of laying in bed with Ronan and his dog, or perhaps their dog in the near future... "She loves bacon strips, they're her favorite. She goes crazy everytime I have bacon of any kind, bacon bits, strips, jerky even-" He chuckled a little. "Bring her bacon and she'll forgive you instantly, though I think she'll really like you since you'll be around a lot-" He realized it slipped out when it was too late, biting his bottom lip to keep himself from saying something else.
The words echoed in Ronan’s head for a moment as he gazed at Flynn, taking notice to the others action as well. Not wanting the other to feel uncomfortable the prince threw a wholehearted smile. “We’ll be the best of friends, Cocola and I.” It was here that Ronan decided, even if things couldn’t go any further for him and Flynn romantically, he’d rather enjoy having the other as a close friend. “It all looks really good.” Ronan’s voice fill with joy as he gazed at the food with glimmering eyes.
He was glad that Ronan didn't seem to be too phased by what he had said, and felt really embarrassed that he let something like that slip. He couldn't let himself say things like that and ruin their relationship, whatever it might turn out to be. "Yeah, it tastes even better then it looks," He said and took a bite of his food, loving how it egnited his tastebuds. This place was one of the only places where everytime he ate here it was like a new experience, and he was hoping Ronan would experience that as well.
”Mmmmm.” Ronan hummed, the ingredients of his plate dancing around in his mouth and sparking his tastebuds with pure pleasure. “This place is always a good choice for food.” He took a moment to glance up at his companion and took notice to a small smudge of food on Flynn’s lower lip. “Here hold still...” The prince voiced before leaning forward, napkin in hand, and wiping the substance from the others face. “All clean!” He hadn’t even realized his actions and it was definitely a little out of character for the prince. Guess his comfortabiliy level with Flynn was quickly rising.
Flynn was a little surprised at that, blinking as he felt Ronan wipe off the food and his cheeks turned a dark shade of red from embarrassment but also realizing just how highly attractive Ronan was in this moment. “T-Thank you,” He said, staring at Ronan. He knew Ronan was a prince, but for some reason that didn’t click in his mind at the moment. “You’re very observant,”
At the point, Ronan’s attention had moved back to his food. Quite entranced by the flavoring and spices until Flynn’s words broke him of that Trance. “Oh, I suppose my artistic eye helps me in that department. Or maybe I indulge myself in art because I’m so observant, who knows.” He laughed a bit at his own uncertainty.
Ronan's laugh made Flynn's heart skip a beat, finding it to make the other male across from him even more attractive then he thought possible. "Perhaps you could use that artistic eye of yours to help me redecorate my apartment?" He asked, taking a sip of his drink. He wanted to find something to make Ronan want to go on a second date with him, or even just be around him. "I need someone with an observant eye, who can see what looks good, and look good while doing it," He flirted with a sly smile.
"Well, i suppose since we've already had our dinner i could be coaxed into going home with you now." He knew full well what his sentence insinuated all while a sly devilish smirk played on his lips. "To help you redecorate of course..." Ronan quickly added, taking one last bite oh his meal before pushing the plate away slightly. "Mmm, now that was good.
A playful smirk appeared on Flynn's face at what Ronan said, giving a small nod. "Of course, the bedroom needs the most redecorating," He said then, knowing what little game they were playing. He let the waitress come and take their food as Flynn stood up, walked over to Ronan to offer a hand as he got up. "I hope the evening was pleasant for you, I know it was for me," He said with a wink.
His brown orbs gazed up at Flynn before he accepted his hand and stood up. "Everything was quite pleasant actually, thank you for the fun time Flynn." His heart fluttered a bit at the contact of their hands. "While i'd really love for this to continue elsewhere, i'm afraid i do have other arrangements with an old friend." It was true, Ronan would have loved to go somewhere else with Flynn but, plans with Benjamin had been made a few weeks ago and Ronan wasn't going to keep him waiting.
He felt the pain in his chest at the rejection from Ronan, and despite everything it still hurt. "Oh, of course," He said, immediately slapping on a fake face to hide his true emotions. "Would you allow me to at least take you home? Or are you being picked up by your old friend?" He asked as they started to exit the restaurant, pushing down and ignoring the aching feeling in his chest.
Ronan hadn’t meant any rejection towards Flynn and he definitely didn’t take any notice to his dates true emotions, in all honest he probably shouldn’t have planned the two meetings on the same day. “Your more than welcome to take me home.” He answered with his head nodding as he finished speaking.
He just gave a small smile and nod at that, leading Ronan over to where Flynn had parked his car. "I did have a wonderful time, thank you," He told him as he kissed Ronan's hand and opened the door for him, hoping that he could at least leave a good impression on Ronan.
Upon contact a small tingling sensation went down Ronan's hand and through his body. It caught the young prince be surprise and before he knew it, the door to the car was open. "Thank you." The small trace of a smile tugging at his mouth before he climbed in, watching Flynn waltz over to the other side of the car. He'd have to admit the investigator had quite the body, probably a result of his career and a trip to the gym most days. There was definitley some chemistry between the two, Ronan could tell that much but, he had to settle things with Benjamin before anything else.
"Oh, I'm... sorry," Thea frowns. Somehow, she always manages to ask the wrong thing. This is why she prefers solitude - at least then she doesn't have to worry about being offensive. "So I, uh, hear they're implementing dorms next year," she starts, clearing her throat a little nervously. She doesn't tolerate anyone else at Hogwarts, so she's hoping Caera will put her out of her misery and agree to room with her. Looking up at the waitress, it's now Thea realizes how expensive Linwood's menu must be. She pauses, before asking: "Do you have coke?"
Thea had assumed they'd be splitting the account, with Caera covering her expenses and Thea covering her own. That's why she was so surprised to hear the to share. Nevertheless, she doesn't object; she can just bring it up later. "Uh, what about a Piña Colada?"
Thea bites back an amused smile as she glances over at Caera, wanting to maintain her usual stoic expression up. Shutting the menu, she offers it to the waitress. "If you don't, just bring me water, honestly."
"Not so intense? Like I don't think we're going to be throwing fists any time soon. Dunno. I feel bad, after the Gryffindor one got all fucked up in quidditch," she shrugs. "I wouldn't be surprised if things went to hell, though, as soon as we got to school, so I guess we'll see. Not like we've spent much time around each other."
Thea doesn't know Caera well enough to realize she's withholding any information, let alone that it involved her triplet. "Sometimes I question whether it's an improvement or not," she admits, rolling her eyes. Chloe just had such a bitchy air to her. She strongly disliked both of them, still.
