Today is a rare day. A very special day. A day to be put down on the history books. Today is the day Andrew Kochō picks up his slack and work, like an actual working adult. He's alone in the isolated corner of the restaurant, his work spread out in front of him. It's not the fun kind of work though, like the work that goes on within the walls of a dance studio, but rather it's written work. There's his messy schedules for company work, channel uploads, and dance studio work. There are his sticky notes and memo pads of unorganised ideas and concepts for videos piled messily on top of the other. Lowkey, it's a mess, like himself and his life. But hey, he's trying to sift through and organise them! At least he has his earphones plugged in to drown out the literal feast of noises around him. |

And today, for Khai, is a normal day. Well, a normal day while he's not promoting. He's on a break after his promotion schedule ended, and was taking a day out on the town to just enjoy things minus the already fifty dozen fans he encountered on the way here, not that it matters. He's already ordered his food and is looking for somewhere to sit where he spots Drew, very busy with the mess of paper and who knows what all over the table top. Khai makes a quiet hum of interest as he walks over and slides into the booth, wondering how long it'll take Drew to realize he was there.

He's a little too into his work at the moment to notice changes in his surroundings, so he's blissfully unaware of his new companion. For now, Drew needs to sort through the workload the company has handed over to him. It's not too much, considering he's only started and all, but this was the most economically important of all of them so he has to do these right... Somehow... He scrunches his nose at what he's reading and tries to reach for one of the paper stacks in front of him without taking his eyes off of the list in his hands. |

Khai's smile grows with his amusement as he watches Drew try to reach for a stack of paper's without looking for it. Deciding to help out a little, he gives a light push to the stack of papers in question so Drew manages to take one. He has half the mind to give the other a heart attack by saying something, but decides to hold off in favor of just watching him for a little longer.

Drew hums happily once he manages to grab what he needed for the paper stack. Funny, he could've sworn the stack was farther before. Funnier, some part of his brain was convinced that he made contact with something that was decidedly not paper. He really needs more sleep huh... Reading through the paper he picked, his nose scrunches in distaste. "What was I on when I decided this was a good idea?" He murmurs to himself, setting aside the paper to his discard pile. Drew puts down the schedule he's been reading through to rub at his eyes when he realises he's not alone at his table anymore. His confusion morphs to surprise and a flush makes itself home on his cheeks. "H- How long have you-?" Cut the cameras, deadass. |

Khai resists the urge to ask, "What's not a good idea?" when Drew starts talking to himself, but his smile does grow to compensate for his silent laughter. When Drew finally looks up, he starts laughing, unable to hold it in anymore. Plus the pink on Drew's cheeks are just so cute. "Mmm, a few minutes, but don't worry—I wasn't counting," he laughed. "You know..." he starts, leaning forward to tease him a little more. "You're pretty hot when you're all focused like that."

Do you ever just... dissolve? Because that's what he would want to do right now. What else would you do when the Love of Your Life™ caught you being an Actual Mess™ again? And then Khai starts laughing just when his playlist reached its end and Drew is absolutely floored and mortified. The transition between the vanilla and buttercream taste of his playlist to the warm honeyed tteokbokki of Khai's laugh is something he never knew he needed and probably never deserved. Fever dream? Fever dream. The flush deepens when Khai leaned in and called him hot, hot of all things. Sir do you see yourself? "I- I don't think me and hot belong in the same sentence together. Between the two of us, you're the hot one-" Drew clamps his mouth shut as soon as those words left his lips, letting out a vague sound of mild suffering. Someone revoke my permission to talk card on God. |

Some part of Khai figures he should probably stop teasing Drew, distinctly providing the reason as possibly hyperventilation, and he knows he'd feel bad for that. But watching the flush deepen in Drew's face just prompts him to want to do it even more. He bites his lip, pretending to ponder himself before shaking his head and smirking. "I do," he murmurs, taking one of Drew's hands and kissing the top of it. "And I respectfully disagree. There's nothing more attractive than a man at work," he says with a wink before pulling back. Speaking of... "What are you working on?"

He could only suck in a breath, speechless at the blatant show of affection(?) He must've saved a whole country in his previous life to be in this position right now. Drew flexes his hand slightly once he gets it back and his mind tries to guess if there was any meaning behind Khai's actions besides being comforting. Guess he'll file that for things to overthink at 3am. "If you say so," He rubs at his cheeks a little in an effort to get rid of his blush. He's only partially successful, small traces of pink still visible once he's done. "Oh! Um, my work schedule for this month. Figured I'll have to stop being such a mess now that I'm a working adult and all." Drew still has a long way to go, but he should be able to finish some of these today. Keyword: should. "What brings you around this side of town? B- Besides the food, of course." |

Or he was just really attractive. And it was fun to fluster him, and Khai's a giant tease. That too. "Mmm," Khai hums in acknowledgement, nodding as he looked over the various papers on the table. "My manager tends to go over my schedule with me. Helps to have more than just yourself looking at it. Want some help?" Khai's smile widens a little at the question. Khai's not a giant fan of smalltalk, but he suppose he could go along with it if it's Drew. "Mmm... wanted to get out today. I'm just glad my fans can't follow me into Linwood," he said with a laugh.

"Some help would be great, yeah... Kinda uh, bit off more than I could chew." He admits sheepishly. Drew got too excited to finally be free to do anything and everything he wanted without his ojiisan breathing down his neck. He already feels overworked just by looking at what he needs to do. Oh well, he can learn to manage as time goes by. Hopefully. "If- If it's not a bother of course haha." And there he goes again, being a classic disaster gay. Why is he such a disaster? +200 urge to crawl into a hole and dissolve. Drew reaches over to the papers he's identified as company work, frowning when he realises that he hasn't sorted these between Alohomora and Silencio. "Some fans are just like that huh..." |

Malakhai laughs understandably, knowing the feeling of biting off more than you can chew way too well. "Of course, where should I start?" he says, leaning forward to get a better look at Drew's papers. "And nothing's a bother when it's for you," he adds, unable to punctuate with a wink simply to satisfy his quota for flirting with Drew for the day. What he's learned since meeting the other, besides being very likeable, was that he was incredibly easy to fluster and made the cutest faces upon being flirted with. So it was kind of a no brainer when it came to Khai deciding to tease him. "They are," he says with a sigh, "But let's not think about them, ah? You're the priority."

He looks at the company work pile in his hands, "Um, can you sort these by company? I'm pretty sure I've ordered them by urgency but I forgot to sort them by company..." Drew again finds himself unable to look Khai in the eyes, rubbing at his cheeks once more to try and prevent more blushing. Would he ever get used to the other's flirting? Probably no. Is he complaining? ...Also no. Sir, excuse your charisma on God. It does spark up the old question of 'is there a deeper meaning behind the flirting or is it just him being himself?' He'll never know. Still, being called a priority as Andrew hits different compared to being called a priority as the Oyabun's grandson. He really likes it. A lot. Drew does feel bad for Khai though, getting followed around by a bunch of strangers looks pretty stressful. Imagine if he was in his shoes... |

He even reaches out and pulls Drew's hand from his face to get him to stop, watching Drew's expression curiously. While Khai has always had some qualms with the more obsessive fans, for the most part, he loves them and wouldn't trade them for the world. After all, they're the reason he's where he is today, so...

He kind of likes it, having his hand held in some way. It's probably his skinship-hungry side though, so he doesn't think much of it. "It kinda makes me look weird." Oh hey would you look at that, he has a dance cover video and a vlog update promised to his followers. Drew wonders if he could get permission to film within company buildings..." |

He laughs, catching bits and pieces of what Andrew mutters under his breath. He's been starkly aware of his attractiveness ever since he signed with Alohomora. It's one of the few things he never stops hearing about. Alongside "he's Caspian Choi's cousin" and "million album sales". He doesn't mind per se, but after awhile, it does get old. "No, it makes you look even more ethereal than you already are," he argues, partly because he agrees and he might be getting a little heated about it, and partly because he wants to keep messing with Drew.

"Now you're just exaggerating!" He absolutely, definitely did not whine a little. Nope. Khai's definitely messing with him now. Who uses ethereal unironically in an everyday setting? The blush is still there, much to Drew's dismay. Oh to be a cool, suave gay like his twin. He does enjoy the little bursts of tteokbokki he gets during the entire conversation. It's definitely a better alternative in distracting him from the sometimes overwhelming background noises. Maybe he should use a playlist of Khai's songs next ti- Nope, nope, banish the thought. Drew would never get work done if that's the case. He'd be too hungry. |

"If I am exaggerating, you admit it, you are pretty," he murmurs lowly, even go as far to add a wink at the end. He pulls back to begin the task Drew gave him, sorting the papers into the different companies. He's tempted to pull something else, but he decides while waits for his food, that he should give Andrew somewhat of a break from him and his flirting. After all, don't want to be too overwhelming. Then they can't respond, and where's the fun in that?

"You win this time." He concedes with a tiny pout. When the conversation ebbs into a comfortable silence, Drew puts back on one of his earbuds (still playing his vanilla-flavoured playlist whoops) and pulls out a pen. Since Khai was tackling the company work papers, Drew takes this opportunity to put some sort of coherence to his sticky note ideas. His little journal was already open to a blank page and soon enough it begins to be filled by a list of whatever he decides that fits in his channel. He should be able to upload two or three videos throughout the week, hopefully. |

He grins, hoping that "winning" counted as proving to Drew that he was pretty. The pout on his face is just adorable though, and he can't help put want to lean over and peck those pretty pink lips of his. While he works, he sneaks small glances at Drew, just to see how the other is doing, glad to be helping him out. After a little while, his food comes by, and by that time, Khai has finished sorting and pushes the two neat stacks aside so he can receive his food. "Hungry?" he asks, looking back over at Drew.

He's oblivious to the little glances, too focused on the vanilla taste of his playlist and the slowly growing list on his journal. He's amassed enough to cover up for his little hiatus during his move from Japan to here, which makes him pretty happy. Drew still needs to find some time to practice and film all of these... Surely they wouldn't mind if he practices these at the company studios, right? His little thoughts would soon begin to shift to more food-related ones but it's only when Khai spoke up again that Drew notices. Drew puts his pen down and takes out his earbud, the vanilla tastes fading out into the tteokbokki of Khai's voice. "Yeah lowkey. All the vanilla was making me hungry." He hums absentmindedly, folding up the pile of sticky notes he had gone through. |

His eyes widen a bit as he realises his slip up. Sometimes he forgets that synesthesia isn't a thing that everyone has. "Oh um, I have a thing where I... taste sounds? Lexical-something, uh, gustatory synesthesia, I think that's what it's called." Drew admits with a small shrug. He doesn't talk about his synesthesia that much, mostly because it's normal for him, therefore, him bringing it up out of the blue is just about the same as someone talking about a strand of their hair. His eyes trail over to the bowl offered to him and then they look back to Khai, "Are- Are you sure? It's your food after all..." |

He scrunches his nose, recalling the last time he'd been at anything close to a concert. "Nope. Last time I did, it was a bad time for everybody." Khai seemed to be more interested in his other order over the ice cream and he already started eating so it should be a sign that Drew started eating as well, right? He was lucky he wasn't taking another bite when Khai suggested a private concert, but it did catch Drew way off guard and his brain just BSOD'd for a split second or two before recovering. "Y- You don't have to do that!" He sputters out. "And nope, no I don't. I do not see." Khai's quietly and politely digging into his food while they talk. He probably wouldn't admit it but he's been starving since noon and kind of dying to get food into his body. Technically his own fault but no one has to dwell on his lack of time management skills. "Tteokbokki?" he echoed, curiosity encapsulating the word as he said it. His mom, surprisingly, had never been a giant fan of cooking Korean food, so the only time he's ever had tteokbokki was while out at a restaurant or the noodle place across town. It was depressing but Khai was working on getting the full experience. Already sucks that all his cousins can speak fluent Korean, and he can't. "I don't have it enough to be too familiar with the taste, but the way you speak of it... I guess I must taste pretty good, hm?"

"Yeah it's my favourite-" He starts off, but the rest of Khai's words registers to him mid-sentence and he scrambles to make himself sound less weird. "I mean- Your voice is- Uh- The tteokbokki I mean!!" The urge to sink into the floor comes flooding right back at him. "Yeah tteokbokki! Tteokbokki's really good!!" Quick topic swerve, topic swerve!!! "What I meant to say was, tteokbokki's one of my favourite foods." Drew mentally pats himself on the back. Nice save. "Whenever my eomma isn't too busy with work, she makes us really good tteokbokki to snack on while we do stuff with her throughout the day," There's a soft smile on his face as he recalls those days in his childhood. He misses those a lot, especially now that everyone's too far away and too busy with real life to step back and just bond as a family. "She taught us how to make them, but we could never make it as perfectly as she does," Drew admits with a shake of his head. |

He lifts his fork up to his mouth, taking another bite of food as he regards Drew with a raise in eyebrow. He admits his curiosity increases a little upon hearing about Drew's family. "I'd be down to taste anything you make regardless. Though your mom does sound like a very talented cook."

Aaand there it is. Drew just successfully exposed himself! At least Khai wasn't weirded out. "Y- Yeah you could say that," He mumbles around another bite of ice cream. "'s nice." Drew occupies himself with the ice cream and he notes that the vanilla mixed with undertones of tteokbokki tastes pretty good. "Oh, um, I could try bringing you some? You're really missing out on the blessing that is tteokbokki." He puts his spoon down for a moment to take out a small spiral notebook, quickly writing down the flavours he's tasting right now before putting it away. "She is! She could run her own restaurant if she wants and it'd outsell those multiple Michelin star ones any day!" |

He goes back to focusing on his food as Drew mumbles around his ice cream, glad he had run into Drew today. "I'd love that," he agrees, holding Drew's gaze this time. He breaks it to look at the notebook that Drew pulls out, wondering what the other is scribbling down. He smiles at the enthusiasm in which the other speaks with. "If she ever does, I'll make sure to check it out."

He's reaching halfway through his food at this point, and he swears the more he eats, the more hungry he gets.

Thoughts flickered to the little notebook he tucked away and the beginnings of another recipe. "O-oh um, thank you," He mumbles around his spoon. Ah, he should really calm down huh? He's been nothing but blushy and fidgety and stuttery, and it's probably a little off-putting by now. Oh well, he'll dunk some sense into himself later when he gets home. But for now... "Bubble tea sounds lovely, I'm in!" Would you look at that, no stuttering this time? Good job, Kocho! The taste of cherry stems fills his senses when he hears bubble tea. Drew hasn't had bubble tea in a while. The last time was probably when he was still back home in Osaka. Wonder if their bubble tea here has the same flavours? |

Just the way Khai likes him, blushy, fidgety, stuttery and all. And it's not like he may or may not be trying to get those reactions out of him anyway. At this point, he couldn't really help it. Drew's just... adorable. "You're welcome," he says, continuing to eat his food. "And great, we should finish soon then, ah? Now that you've promised you'll come along, I'm excited." He's also not very keen to stop hanging out with Drew just yet. It's not like he won't see him around the Alohomora building, but there's a difference between small talk in the elevator and having a whole conversation over lunch.

The thought makes him all warm and fuzzy inside and it shows in the shy little smile that's (hopefully) hidden by him taking more bites out of his ice cream. For all his tripping and stumbling, Drew does enjoy Khai's company. He's charming, easy to talk to, and doesn't mind Drew being his messy self. At this point, Drew's pretty much gone for this man. "Oh um, I'll transfer the company tasks to my calendar and finalise the structure for my dance class this month." Drew pokes at the pile for his dance studio work. A quick check earlier in the day told him that he has quite a few new students coming in this month and none have dropped out so far. He takes this as a win, it means he's doing his job right! He's almost out of ice cream, which is both great (because it means they can tackle the tasks faster and then get bubble tea) and not so great (because vanilla ice cream :c). |

"You have a dance class?" Khai asks curiously, having never heard about this before. To be fair, he doesn't really know what Drew does. When he first met him, all he did was give him a tour and got to know him a little. He never bothered to ask what Drew actually did there. Then he realizes he has no idea if Drew is talking about teaching a class or being in one. But he supposes the former makes the most sense if he truly thinks about it. Khai nods. "I'll take the calendar work since I'm guessing the structure finalization is more personal work," he suggests.

"Oh yeah, I do. I teach a children's dance class at Nine Galaxy Cluster." Drew looks around for his planner, finding it buried beneath the notes for his channel. He flips the pages until he reaches this month's calendar page and hands it over to Khai, along with the pen he uses for it. "Thank you so much for all the help, and for the ice cream. You made my day a whole lot better." He says with a grateful smile. Having Khai around providing him company and help was very unexpected development to his day, but Drew is very grateful for it. |

He tilts his head, finding a compartment in his head for him to store that information in for later. Might be a place to lend a surprise visit to later. For both Drew and the kids—he's done similar visits before, he honestly gets surprised at just how many people recognize him. It's wild. Khai moves his plate to the side, finally finished with his food, and takes the calendar from Drew as well the pen, eager to get to work. "Of course," he says with a charming beam, probably bright enough to stop a deer in its tracks. "I'd love to help out any other time," he says. "So feel free to call me when you need me."

Just as he was beginning to think that hey, maybe I'm getting used to him now so I'll probably stop acting like a mess!, the universe whammies him with a SIKE in the form of sparkling sunshine. The smile directed at him made another flush crawl up his cheeks and he's quick to break eye contact and redirect his gaze to the papers in front of him. Just who allowed this man to be this- this- to have this kind of effect on him? He rubs at his cheeks once more, nodding along as he does so. "U- Uh yeah, I'll keep that in mind, thank you." Drew busies himself with setting aside his now empty dish and getting the stack meant for dance studio things, his earbud now back in place to filter out any background noise past their table. |

He's already started the transferring when Drew starts buffering. Out of the corner of his eye, he spots Drew rubbing the flush off his cheeks again, and he can't even hold back his laughter. Mostly because he doesn't even try. "You're just so cute," he murmurs, scribbling something down in neat, cursive writing. He works with relative ease, although has to pause a few times when his hand cramps from writing. These days, he's much more used to using his phone or computer to record notes or voice memos, so he's rarely writing anything down. He's actually a little surprised to find anyone who uses physically notes. Most of the people he's met record things digitally so they have it all in one place. At least, most of the organized people he's met.

With all of his focus poured onto his task and his playlist, Khai's words miss his notice completely. Physically writing down everything may get a little messy and tiring, but Drew finds it fun most of the time for several reasons. For one, the sound of pen on paper has a light vanilla-cinnamon taste, which is at its strongest when he's writing alone in his room. For another, he gets really into making his notes all pretty and aesthetic using all of the fancy stationery items he had brought from home. The pages Drew and Khai are working on may look a little bare with only their handwritings but once Drew is home, all of them will be given their own themed decorations and doodles. Once Drew finishes with his task, he sets it aside with a contented hum. He lets his arms rest on the table, cradling his head and letting himself take a breather. |

Khai finishes a little while after him, setting down the pen and handing Drew's calendar back to him, slightly proud of his neat penmanship after having spent so much time without writing. "All done?" he asks, though he figures they probably are judging how when he looked up, Drew had his head down. By then, the waiter comes around to get Khai's dishes and deliver the bill so he can pay. "If you are, the waiter will probably come back again soon, so we can pack up and go get Bubble Tea."

He doesn't want to sound narcissistic but the way the waiter seemed to be holding back words suggested they may possibly be a fan. "Sounds good," he says, clicking the pen's top and setting it down on the table. "Do you want me to help you with that too?"

Soon enough, he's putting in the last of his things and zipping up his bag with a victorious grin. "All done~" He says, patting his bag. The endearment makes his heart stutter in his chest and he gets the urge to just... dissolve. Drew does take the offered hand though, it'd be impolite not to. And his parents didn't raise an impolite son. Drew does frown at the "not special" remark because that was a whole lie. "Hey, that's not true. You're plenty special." He argues, squeezing the other's hand once before letting go to adjust his bag around his shoulders. Drew wants to say more, but he'd probably blurt out some things that are definitely not for this time. |

"You're just as hot as you are unique," he says with a wink. "Shall we go?" he says, gesturing towards the door with a shallow nod.

The last few weeks have been stressful for Lucien. He's currently preparing to move to London, and every few days he's been going back and forth between home in Sweden and his new home in London. His kitchen is still pretty much empty, so Lucien's been relying on eating out to satisfy his hunger. Right now, he's waiting on a take-out order. Yawning, Lucien scrolls on his phone for entertainment as he waits. He came from Sweden on a portkey in the morning, and he's just waiting to flop into bed. It might only be 3 in the afternoon, but he's tired. |

Meanwhile, Reuben could barely afford to eat out every few months. He'd been saving up to have a nice lunch or dinner or breakfast or something besides ramen and mac and cheese. Sure Alohomora's cafeteria exists, but the walk from there to his dorm is atrocious and when he gets there, all the good stuff is always gone. But he's excited, for once, about something. He finally gets to enjoy actual, good food and not leftovers or quick-make pantry stuff. And while it doesn't show on his face as he stands nearby, it shows as he rocks on his heels, looking energetic.

Liking posts on Witchagrams get boring after awhile. There's no one around other than some guy, and so he takes the time to look around the restaurant. The boy next to him seems to be overly excited to get his order, which makes Lucien curious. "What did you order, if you don't mind me asking?" Lucien hopes he doesn't end up regretting his order. "Huh?" Reuben's look over, not expecting company or conversation. Guess he didn't notice the other guy show up. Or maybe he was here before him? He doesn't really know, despite waiting for a few minutes, he's hasn't been paying attention. "Oh... um..." He stops moving, suddenly feeling embarrassed, which was an unfamiliar feeling for him in the last few months. He's never really broke his nonchalant streak. "I think on the menu it's... Hereford Ribeye?" he said, trying not to mumble. He didn't want to make it obvious that he didn't belong here and the only reason he was able to afford this meal was because he saved up three months in advance. "Um, Lucien Fleury, right?" he asks as an afterthought. He recognizes him, after all they graduated school together but, he didn't expect to see him here of all places.

Lucien looks intently at Reuben as he waits for a response. Truthfully, he's not even thinking about what Reuben's socio-economic status is. Like most people, Lucien is absorbed with thoughts of Lucien-related problems. His mother had been insistent in gifting him new sheets, and now Lucien didn't know if he should change them today or not. Oh, and he's pretty sure he forgot his charger in Sweden. He's going to have to stop by an eletronics shop later. "Hm?" Distracted by his thoughts, Lucien almost didn't catch what the other boy ordered. "...Hereford Ribeye? I've never had it before. Honestly, I've only been there twice before. I've been eating take out on and off for the last three weeks, and I've been meaning to try something new. But sometimes, I get too lazy to choose something new. Familiarity is always good, don't you think? I ordered the Roast Venison myself." He widens his eyes in surprise when the other boy recognizes him. If there's someone that should've been recognized by people, it was Lukas probably. But then again, Lucien suppposes that he was semi-popular at school even without being worldwide famous. "Mhm, that's me. And you are...? Sorry, I don't recognize you. Did we speak at all at Hogwarts....or maybe Durmstrang?" Durmstrang would be a long catch, considering that he hasn't been there in five years. But he squints at Reuben, trying to recognize him. "I feel like I know you, though. Weren't you involved with Castiel Pyeong, or am I mistaken?" He's pretty sure he's seen Reuben around a lot, the more he looks at him. Lucien giggles a bit. "From Hogwarts? That's a unique surname." He can't help but to poke fun at the situation. It amused him. Of course he knew that Reuben was from Hogwarts. Lucien's already thinking of sharing this conversation to the txt squad groupchat. After all, he's pretty sure one of them has to remember who Reuben was. "I'm just kidding. The deep red in his face quickly turned to scarlet and he wished he could bury himself into the ground. See, this is why he only ever ate ramen and whatever was in the Alohomora cafeteria and stayed in his dorm 95% of the time. Because when he tried to interact with other people and make friends, he ends up looking like a fool instead. He opened his mouth to contest when Lucien continued, relieving him for a few seconds before amplifying his embarrassment. He was so stupid. Great, time to never leave his dorm for the next three months. "S-Slytherin," he stuttered, tugging at his jacket sleeve and looking the other way, hoping to hide his flushed face. He begins to feel even more out of place when Lucien mentions coming here multiple times. Reuben could barely afford this one time, and this, this was a regular occurrence for this guy. He should just leave before he makes an embarrassment out of himself further. But... his food. "I hope it is," he murmured. "This is the first time I've bought from here."
