Mackenzie is a very polite young man. He has always been respectful to everyone to the best of his abilities, even if they didn't deserve respect from him for whatever reason. He never speaks out of place and his words are always laced with kindness and comfort, wanting those around him to feel happy and at ease when he's talking with them. Often putting everyone else ahead of himself.
Mackenzie is also a complete softy, as well as a hopeless romantic. He believes that there is someone out there he's destined to meet and eventually end up falling in love with, and when that time comes he plans on doing everything he can to make that person the happiest he can. He'll be by their side every step of the way, more than likely trying to cuddle with them all the time.
Due to how close he was to his parents and having to leave them to come to Hogwarts, Mackenzie has developed separation anxiety. It can be argued that he even had it before leaving for Hogwarts considering he never wanted to leave his parents' sides. Due to this form of anxiety, he is worried to get attached to someone or get a boyfriend/girlfriend in fear they might find him overly clingy.
Noah Ahn, known as Ahn Jae-Hyung in Korea, was a wealthy businessman from New Zealand who had just moved to Siheung, Gyeonggi-do in South Korea. His wife was a model known as Ahn Seo-Young (known as Stella Ahn while in New Zealand). The two had been together for three years, married for one. With no immediate plans to have kids, they were shocked to find out that Stella was pregnant a month after they got back from visiting Noah's family in New Zealand.
While on hiatus from her modeling job, Stella had given birth to a beautiful baby boy whom the couple ended up naming Jong-Kyeol. It wasn't long after Jong-Kyeol's birth that Noah was transferred to a branch in Auckland, New Zealand (his hometown). For the time being, they would live with Noah's parents and Stella would stay home to take care of their son who had taken up the name of Mackenzie upon their arrival in his father's hometown. Mackenzie was a handful to say the least, he was a very clingy child and never wanted to be away from either parent. It was difficult for him to adjust to neither of them being around when Stella had went back to college to become a teacher.
However, despite being clingy, Mackenzie was a very respectful child. He would always follow the rules and obey whatever his elders said to him. Mackenzie also showed promise of being a very intelligent little boy as early as kindergarten. He was above the class in both reading and writing and his grades only went up every year. He was always being praised by teachers and relatives alike and to most of his friends' parents always would say "Why can't you be more like Mackenzie?". Yeah, he was that kid in school...
It wasn't until Mackenzie was eight that he found out he was a wizard. He had just gotten home from school and was pouring himself a glass of milk when suddenly the glass in his hand shattered. He had no clue why, he didn't drop it nor did he hit it on anything. All he knew was there were no cuts on his hand. When his Noah's mom had come into the kitchen after hearing Mackenzie scream, she saw the broken glass and was equally as confused when her grandson had told her the story.
After the incident, Mackenzie had found out that his granddad knew a wizard. It was a tightly kept secret between his granddad and said wizard. But after consulting with the latter the family was informed that Mackenzie was indeed a muggle-born wizard after evaluating the younger. Shocked, the Ahn family kept it a secret until Mackenzie was old enough to be accepted into Hogwarts. He began attending the school when he was eleven and at that time he was sorted into Hufflepuff.
