Milo Ryu is quite the character. He's outspoken, definitely not getting the memo about being sensitive to other peoples' feelings. He's a person who's brain is hot wired to his mouth and most things that he thinks, he speaks. He doesn't intend to cause harm, in fact most of the things he says is with the intentions of improving something or bettering the situation. It's not all bad, his sarcasm is generally well received and his loveable appearance and personality means that he is very rarely without a smile on his face or without a friend.
Ryu Baek-Beom appeared to have it all - a good house, a loving wife and an adorable baby girl. With a life many could only dream about it was unfathomable as to why he took his own life and left a grieving family. To his wife and daughter, he had died - yet to the magical Korean government, he had been deported to Australia after fraud in both the muggle and magical communities. The shame, being too much for him, of admitting to his family of such crimes was what led him to feign his own death as he started his life again in Sydney.
He took on the alias of Nathanial, perfecting his English and adopting the accent with ease. There, he met a native by the name of Elouise Park and began a romantic relationship with her. The two produced twin sons before they were married; Kai and Milo and for a brief amount of time, Nathanial abandoned his family as the memories of what he once had reconciled within him. He returned a few months later and eloped with Elouise, beginning their domesticated life.
The twins grew up happy, enjoying the sun and beaches that Australia offered them. Whilst their father had been raised strictly as magical, coming from one of the most elite wizarding families in Korea, it was a tradition on their mother's side to be raised as muggles as to have a knowledge of both lives to allow interchangeability between the two. Thus, magic was kept hidden from the boys until they experienced their first moments with magic. Like many siblings the twins argued and it was during one of these arguments that toys were seemingly levitating and being thrown at the other. Of course this made the two burst into laughter and proceed to attempt to recreate such an action with other household items. Their parents weren't the happiest to come into the room to find some glass vases smashed, cushions ruined and the like.
The boys still grew up in their muggle environment, yet were subjected more and more to the lives their parents had been hiding away. By the time the two came to getting their letters from Hogwarts they were well-versed in both lifestyles. At Hogwarts, both were sorted into Gryffindor and a year before graduation their father passed away - from legitimate suicide.
