Julius stood from his desk as soon as he heard the knock and went over to open the door. He greeted Ambrose with a smile, and held out his hand. "You must be Ambrose, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Julius."

He shakes Julius's hand firmly, offering a smile. "Yes, sir. It's a pleasure to meet you, too."

He stepped aside, motioning his guest into the room before going to take his seat behind his desk. "So, tell me about yourself, Ambrose. What makes you want to lead one of our largest departments?"

He does as gestured, occupying one of the available seats. "Well, I've been an auror for around thirty years, and it's always been my passion. Out of those thirty years, I was Hit Wizard for around six, and Head of the Auror Office for another seven. I've always taken pleasure in my work and always ensure that I do it correctly, following all protocols to ensure justice is always carried out," he responds. "I know being Head of a department is no easy feat, let alone that of Magical Law Enforcement, but I know I can thrive in this position, just like the department."

He nodded, jotting down notes. "And you were Auror Head in..", he looked down at the man's resume in front of him. "...America? What did you learn from that position, and working for MACUSA, that you can bring to the position here?"

"If there's one thing I learned, it's that nobody works for me; we all work together. In this job, there's no such thing as me, myself, and I. I have people to work with, willing and able to help me. This kind of work... no man or woman can do it on their own," Ambrose shakes his head. "It wasn't designed for one person. No matter how big your feats, or how small, you need to learn to work with others in order to achieve things. I like to think one man's weakness is another man's strength. There was this raid I led one time, as Hit Wizard. We ended up busting an entire dragon trafficking ring. An ambush was waiting for us, though. If it weren't for my men, I wouldn't have made it out of there. It's things like that that reinforce my belief that this line of work doesn't put one above others," he adds. "At the end of the day, we're all trying to get the same job done."

"That's a great viewpoint to have.", he said with a nod. "SO, what goals would you have for the department if you were to be hired? What would you like to achieve?"

"We used to have intense survival exercises when I was new in America. They helped mold me into a soldier. I would like to get that sort of thing going over here. It's akin to the SEALs' training. Left in the woods, presented with obstacles, hardly anything to fend themselves with," he explains. "Make them learn to rely on one another above all else. Likewise, I'd like to touch up on cases gone cold, like the terror attacks and the attack on Minister Jeon. I believe these people deserve closure from all the horrors they encountered," he pauses. "There's a particular case that I'm interested in touching up on. The Greers' case. I'm aware that this office lost an auror at their hands, and it doesn't bode well with me. They should all be brought to justice," he confesses. "I'd like to send more aurors out undercover, and expand on the Hit Wizards' branch. I recognize we need more manpower above all else, and would put that on my priority list," he says.

He nodded. "I think that would be great to work on with the leadership in the Auror Office. But, what about the rest of the department? What would you like to do with them? Perhaps opening a new subdivision office if you see a need, ot something like that? A lot of your time as DMLE head is working outside the Auror Office, as they're pretty independant, with you just sort of supervising them."

"Right, well, I had an interest in working hand in hand with the Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to hopefully come to a solution about the near-humans that live in the United Kingdom. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against them, but I understand the people's concerns that they may not be as monitored as needed, hence why I'd like to take action on that. Likewise, I wanted to get in touch with the Chief Warlock of Wizengamot. I understand as of lately the Ministry has had some trouble filling the positions necessary there, and wanted to get in touch with the Chief to see in what ways we could remedy this situation, as they play a crucial role in our justice system. It is also on my list of priorities to revisit Azkaban and reinforce the magic that not only conceals it, but ensures no break-outs happen. It may have been decades ago that the last break-out happened, but there's nothing wrong with preventative measures. Especially now that we don't use dementors to keep the prisoners in check," he explains. "I'd like to look into a potential merger of the Improper Use of Magic Office and the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office. The possibility of creating a new subdivision did happen to cross my mind, but as of this precise moment, I don't think there's a need for it. Maybe once I have become better acquainted with the Ministry and the people I'm working with, but not yet," he shakes his head.

He nodded along as he listened to all the ideas. "I think those all sound like a great start to get things in the department going again. I really like the idea of getting more involved with both DRaCMC as well as with my wife in the wizengamot. You would definitely have a large role to play there.", he said, flipping through the file once more. "Do you have any questions for regarding the position or anything related?"

He nodded. "Very well, then I just have one question left. What is one area that you feel yo may be weak in ,related to the job, that you would want to try to grow?"

"I tend to micromanage a lot," he confesses. "I would definitely like to grow in that aspect, and learn to delegate some of my responsibilities in order to tackle the bigger, more important issues with a clear mind and a better outlook, for a better outcome."

He nodded. "I think that is a great think to work on, and one that I would be happy to help with as you learn the ropes of the position," he said, with a smile, and holding out his hand. "I think you would be a great addition to the team."

"I would greatly appreciate any help you're willing to extend," he says, shaking Julius' hand firmly. "Thank you for giving me this chance. I promise you won't regret it. We'll put the Department back in a good shape," he vows, with a confident smile.
