The Minister for Magic's Office is located on Level 1 of the Ministry, Minister for Magic and Support Staff. The current occupant is Eleni Yaxley. Eleni, like the previous residence, despises being cooped up in a room. She has ensured that there's as much 'natural light' in the room as possible, even if she had to achieve this through magic.

Benji wasn't nearly as nervous as he maybe should be, in a weird sense he felt calm. All the years of coming to visit the ministry, see his dad, being brought in for take your kid to work day. It all added up to give Benji a sense of confidence as he navigated the halls of the ministry with ease. Having spent the morning with Bailey in his office just down the hall, he arrived at Minister Yaxley's office door a few minutes early. Benji knocked on it before straightening out his tie. Both Teagan and Chanelle wouldn't let him leave for his interview without being dressed properly, which resulted in a rather nice suit being chosen.

Eleni, quite frankly, wouldn't have minded if Benji had turned up in a t-shirt and shorts. As she swung the door open, her face had already broken into a grin. "Benji!" She said before she gestured for him to come in. "It's so good to see you! How are you? You look so well," she said as she closed the door. Eleni had been aware Benji was eyeing the ministry (following in the footsteps of his father) but she was still pleasantly surprised when she got his application.

With Eleni's face breaking into a grin, Benji's did the same as he saw the minister. "Hi Eleni! I've been good, stressing just a little about the interview." He responded gleefully as he looked down at his outfit after the compliment. "Thank you, I figured I should make a good... first impression on you. but it's good to see you as well!"

She has no nervous or anxious energy on display as she waits to meet with Minister Yaxley. Some years ago she may have been pacing or otherwise tapping something incessantly as a way of controlling said energy. Right now she is cool, calm and collected. In typical muggle fashion she's an accordion file with her holding a paper version of her past achievements. Although she knows it's much less necessary to carry around in the magical world, the amount of forethought and preparedness it shows is something she would liked to see from a prospective employee.

For the first time in what seems like months, Eleni wasn't seem to be fitting in an interview during her breaks. So when she opened the door, she was properly dressed. Of course, there had been an application where Eleni was able to get an idea of the candidate before she asked for an interview. Though she seemed to be giving everyone interviews as of late. Still, she smiled when she saw the other woman and the folder in her hands and held out her hand. "Ms. Michaud, how nice to meet you, come in," she said.

She instantly feels she should have handed over her folder, she keeps it tight in her grasp determined to make use of it. She passes though the office door to sit down. "Would it be improper to ask whether you have been enjoying the position as Minister?"

One of the good things about being with a coworker is that they never doubted the 'work's keeping me late' argument. Often because they were at work with you. "So you're applying for transportatiion, hm? Why that department?"

Eleni could empathise with that. It wasn't a pretty situation. However, better than the child becoming an obscurial. "Of course," Eleni said with a slow nod, "unfortunately, during his era, the statistics for obscurials had begun to rise since the ministry had pulled back from the muggle world. We've been trying to lower the rates since, but you will be entering a department that will require high damage control. Are you prepared for this?"
