Nan's Diner

Nan's Diner is a place known for the comfort food it sells. It looks like a 1950s styled American diner in the inside, just as well as the outside, making it a peculiar place in the same-old, same-old structures of Hogsmeade Village. The employees from this little diner are from all over the world, bringing in their expertise to provide the best food possible to Hogwarts' diverse student body. When homesick, this is definitely the place to come to. It's open 24/7 and serves as the ideal hangout spot, especially during summer. Avid music fanatics can come in here and also enjoy a wide range of music, although the default genre is jazz.

Nan's Diner is currently hiring cooks and waiters - the more diverse nationality-wise, the better.

Weekly family trips to Hogsmeade are pretty much a tradition, but moreso in recent months leading to her acceptance to Hogwarts. Not just Hogsmeade, though; sometimes they go to Lincliff Island, or visit wizarding villages on the countryside. You'll appreciate spending this much time with us when you're away from us for almost a full year, her mum had reasoned. But last month, it's like it had really clicked with her parents that she was about to start her education at Hogwarts School and would be gone for months on end. Her mum was a lot more emotional as of late, and she'd even been surprised with a week-long trip to Puerto Rico. Something about remembering her roots before she goes through this life-changing experience? Merlin, Siobhan doesn't even know what the logic behind that decision was, but she didn't question it. It was a fun trip. She got to see all her aunts and uncles, and even her cousins. The week went by very quickly and even though she'd enjoyed it, Siobhan was glad to be back home. She had an album full of pictures to flip through to remember the trip, and a new musical to watch whenever she misses her family. Hamilton. Okay, listen, Siobhan was skeptical at first — it's so annoying American, after all, and Siobhan is a proud Irishwoman. But like... Lin-Manuel Miranda is a Puerto Rican icon, and she supposes it's okay to express some pride over her latinx heritage. So she's used that to excuse why she's had the album on repeat since she got back. She's pretty sure her dad is fed up of her awful rendition of My Shot. Maybe that's why he dropped her off at Hogsmeade today with a few galleons and the encouragement to spoil herself while he disappeared to Merlin only knows where. Her mum would yell at him if she knew she had been left to her own devices, but Siobhan would defend him like the daddy's girl she is. 'Sides, she'll probably spend her whole day reading a book at Nan's Diner while she scarfs down milkshake after milkshake. She's perched on a stool right now, actually on her second mint chip milkshake. So much for spoiling herself. (Though maybe she should look into getting herself some new fits for Hogwarts...)

Vivian hadn't had much to do, except making sure her roommates didn't scream bloody murder if they found out about Duke. Who had grown a considerable amount since she arrived in Hogwarts. Which meant her ability to hide him was becoming more and more difficult. Sometimes she wished she had more to use than the makeshift recordings of Tristan's parsel tongue to communicate with Duke that he can't be seen by the others, even if their pets look tasty. She walked into Nan's diner with a very large puffer jacket and Duke was wrapped around her torso, hidden from any prying eyes. She just needed to trust him enough that his head wouldn't come out to have a little look at what was happening around them. He was a curious little thing. Viv found it annoying. She went to try and find a table, but got caught up behind a waiter whose arms were filled with plates and Viv didn't want to hurry him so she waited. Incidentally, she was right behind Siobhan's bench. It didn't take long for Duke's head to slither out the waistband, his tongue flicking out to get a feel of everything. She hadn't been to this diner for months so everything was quite new to the snake. Viv, unfortunately, didn't notice and was ignorant of the snake that was dangling from her jacket. She was meeting Gwen but she had a suspicion it'd be cancelled. Apparently exams were a lot more serious than they were in second year. Viv would like to be arrested for murder if school was to become a whole lot worse than it was already.
