Over the summer, Chanelle and Benji had gotten a lot closer. With having their first kiss together at the end of the last year, Chanelle was somewhat nervous to see where their relationship would develop and, more importantly to her, if anything would change their friendship. The two were going on another date - something they were doing a bit more often - and the casual setting of Nan's Diner made Chanelle feel a bit more at ease. Sitting opposite Benji in a casual, but somewhat dressy, top with some skinny jeans, Chanelle looked at the menu before shifting her gaze to Benji. "Do you know what you're gonna get?"

Lady Cassandra Tudor, aside from her title, her money, and the company she kept, was a fairly regular girl — she didn't look down her nose at people unless they deserved it, nor did she think public establishments like this one to be below her station. Thus, she walked into the diner hand-in-hand with her childhood best friend, Princess Juliet of Windsor, out of the December cold with flushed cheeks, but a smile on her face nonetheless. "We must sip tea to spill tea," she laughed as they settled in a booth. That way, they wouldn't be quite so visible from the door.

Juliet felt very similarly to her best friend, Cassandra Tudor, as being part of the royal family yet would never think of being above coming to a place like Nan's Diner. She enjoyed the diner quite a lot actually; almost as much as she enjoyed spending some time with Cassie. She was thankful for the choice of booth, not wanting to deal with any sort of stares from people that may recognize either of the two girls. Did that sound cocky? Juliet didn't mean to sound cocky. Yet, people love making all sorts of stories about seeing someone in the royal or Tudor family. "You're very right," she agrees, laughing at the comment. While waiting for a waiter to come over and take their orders, she adds soon after, "Uncover anything big recently?"

Cassie crossed one leg over the other, the smile tugging at her lips, almost widening. "I thought you'd never ask," she said, rolling her shoulders to loosen them up; her eyes checked the diner for journalist types, the sort who would pass on the secrets meant for solely her and Juliet to talk of to the papers and — ergo — to everyone who cared sufficiently to read them. "Let me tell you what I found out about my cousin, Joanna, over the holidays. I've suspected for a long time, but I never thought I'd get confirmation."

"Oh, really? Confirmation on what?" Though, before Cassandra could have a chance to answer, a waiter would skid over to the table and ask what would they like. She lets her friend order her drink first before politely asking for a tea. Waiting until the waiter was finally gone and definitely couldn't try to stalk their conversation for some reason or another, Juliet turns her head back to Cassie with a smile and curious expression on her face. "Spill."

Cassie had opened her mouth when the waiter appeared, but managed to turn around and transform the expression into a smile. One should always be polite to wait staff — she, like her friend, requested tea, and then waited for said waiter to disappear before she leant in. "So my cousin Joanna, Queen of the 'I Must Seem As Straight As I Can So Henry Tudor Will Approve Of Me' train...she's gay as hell, dude, and she writes secret romance novels. I haven't read them, I'm guessing they're a tad on the smutty side — but my other cousin, Cicely, has."

"Ooo, how fun," she says intrigued. Honestly, it almost felt like to Juliet that in the more pure-blooded homophobic families did a lot of the family members seem to not come out straight. The Tudors were a good example. Though, guess Juliet didn't know about them all. She knew Cassie was Pan, though. The Royal Family was definitely hella gay, but most people in it weren't homophobic luckily. Juliet was more unsure about her sexuality and didn't care all too much. She certainly wasn't just straight, that's for sure. "How'd you find out that Cicely had read them?"
