Like Noëlle, she was picking up things left behind and forgotten. People left purses behind in the chaos of it all, which thanks to the citizens' tendencies to avoid the affected areas, she was able to open and take valuables from - money, jewelry, all kinds of things. She had to be quick, though, and that was a bit more of a challenge, as she didn't want to leave anything behind.
She, on the other hand, didn't recognize Noelle. Her heart did a little jolt when she heard her voice, but she put on a grin. "No problem!" she chirps, extending the not-yet-searched purse. "I figured a lot of belongings were left behind, and I should try and gather as many as possible and hand them over to a nearby store or something of the like."
"For some odd reason, I get that a lot," she comments, dryly. "Let's stick to searching, yes?" she says, as she takes a turn, putting considerable distance between her and Noelle. This was going to get real annoying, real fast. Hopefully, the woman would stay in her lane and Tessa could get back to her previous activities.
"Yeah, tell that to every asshole stranger who's tried to kidnap me," she says, under her breath, her tone particularly bitter. She shakes her head, and again tries to put considerable distance between her and Noelle. "Well, there's nothing," she says eventually, in a lie. "So I'm gonna go."
Okay, but like, she'd been hoping that'd deter the woman. She wanted to keep swiping items - she couldn't do that with someone on her back. But getting something was better than getting nothing. Even though she risks getting caught. So she sighs, rolls her eyes, rolls (and pops) her shoulders, before looking back at the fallen structures. She spots a purse, and goes to pick it up.
She catches on then, and she lets out an indignant huff. She takes it, opens it with no shame, and swipes its contents - she ends up with a wad of muggle bills and a bag of galleons. Great. "You're a real work of art, aren't you?" she grumbles. "What was the need of that stunt?"
"Figured that part out," she says, more to herself than anything, and opened the purse to swipe whatever of value was in it. "I'm Tessa," she says, a little more nicely than she'd previously been addressing her, and even half-smiles.
Noticing the purse fitting completely into the other, Tessa's briefly confused, but then realization dawns on her and she smiles. The idea hadn't occurred to her. "You used the Undetectable Extension charm, didn't you?"
Tessa nods, seeing the point in her words. She takes a look at her watch, and purses her lips. "I'm gonna head back to the Citadel. I've got some friends to meet up with later, and I take longer than I should at getting ready, so..." she trails off.
