The One-Eyed Witch is a statue in Hogwarts. But few people know that if you use the correct password, you can
gain entrance to a small passage that opens a hole to a tunnel that, if followed, takes you to Honeydukes Passage. The passage's entrance is hidden in the statue of Gunhilda of Gorsemoor.
Lyndsay yawned, held up her wand and pointed it at the stupid-looking girl. A green light shot out of it and knocked the girl over. "Watch where you're walking, you lazy underling!" she threw the words back at the girl.
Joker squinted her eyes and glared at Lyndsay. She took her own wand out and unjinxed herself. "You dare try to harm Joker Grandview?!" She softened her expression and put on a wicked smile, laughing a little. "Well, at least I got to meet my own father," She said in a silky voice while giving Lydnsay a knowing look.
Joker laughed loudly. Maybe this girl wasn't a figment of her imagination. "Unlike weak children, I don't need parents! Maybe if mother and father weren't such imbeciles, they wouldn't have gotten themselves killed. It was a muggle murderer. A MUGGLE!" She yelled in a cold tone. Nobody has asked about her about her parents for a long time, and she felt the familiar feeling of guilt and sadness, but she ignored it like she always did. "Same for my idiot siblings. They could have helped them, they were right there! But no, they got to live the good life while I was stuck in a mental hospital!" She cooled herself off, and her voice returned to it's high pitch. "Therefore, I don't need the support of mummy and daddy or any other part of my family to live my life. You should feel the same way, unless you're weak like everyone else.
Lyndsay chuckled a high-pitched squeak. "No, crazy. Let me tell you what a childhood in crime, two failed suicide attempts and twelve sentences in juvie taught me - I don't need to be looked after. I walk alone, and only alone. And I don't need maniac murderers following me. And you're obviously not a muggle." She leant back down, thinking of her failed overdose. "I still can't forget the taste of them pills."
Joker's face change from her wicked smile to a frown. "Are you calling me a murderer? I never murdered my parents. Like I said, it was a muggle murderer. At that age the only thing I thought about was ponies and playdough. Oh, and don't flatter yourself. I don't follow anybody. I take notes on everybody, looking for weaknesses and strengths, interests and dislikes. I dunno why I do, prehaps it's just to freak 'em out. Oh, and it's never good to "walk alone." She smiled again. "Good allies will help you reach success. Then you dump 'em and find new ones. And," she added, "Suicide was never really an option for me. You can't rule the world when you're dead."
"Well, sometimes suicide is the only option when you're broken down. But now, I rule the world. And what are you on about - figment of my imagination?"
"Schizopenic. That's the term those doctors..." She began to say, but broke off. "Hmm. No matter." She returned her gaze to Lyndsay. "Anyway, I'm not insane. You're just like the guys in the white suits back at the hospital. They got this idea that when my parents were murdered, it disturbed me. Hah! Such nonsence!" She exclaimed.
Ashley was walking by the statue when she heard Joker and Lyndsay arguing. She made herself invisible and watched without making a sound so Joker and Lyndsay wouldn't see her.
Joker laughed at Lyndsay. "Oh, come on. A fourth year isn't going to be able to read my mind," she said as her tone grew dark once again. Joker knew deep down that Lyndsay spoke the truth that her mental state was deteriorated, but refused to acknowledge it. "I think I would know if something was wrong with me. Like I said, my parents' death means nothing to me, and I was definitely not affected by it whatsoever," Joker said, impatience growing. "Now get your impotent wand out of my face!"
"Uh, yeah, actually, I do know how to read minds!" Lyndsay turned, feeling like she was being watched. "Revealio!" Ashley appeared. "You eavesdropping again, Ash?"
Joker gazed at Ashley, studying her. "Hmm... Slytherin... Red hair... Obvious expression of indifference... You must be the infamous Ashley Flame," she said.
Lyndsay groaned. "Ugh, I'm trying to find Hogsmeade cellar. Someone told me this was a secret passage but now I think it's a sick joke. I'll keep going though. Come on!" Lyndsay set further into the tunnel.
