He'd speak slowly in a low voice. "Melinda, your sister's worried about you, and why you don't like Hogwarts."

"I'm not mad about this," she said. "If there is something... or someone at Hogwarts making you unhappy at Hogwarts... unhappy enough that you don't want to go back... I want to know so I can try to make it better."
She'd look up at Charity, frowning. "I just...don't like it." She'd sigh. "I'm cooped up inside most of the time. The work and classes are really easy...to the point they're boring. I'm not really close to any of the other students..." She'd trail off. "There's a lot of reasons...but none of them will be good enough for me to not have to go back...so I'll just deal with it ok?" She'd keep brushing Princess, who would start getting a bit agitated.

She let out a long slow breath. "And that's it? If there were something else... you know you could tell me."
She'd look at Charity a bit confused. She'd open her mouth to talk, think, then open it again. "...I'm not sure what else you're talking about?" She'd almost said Princess didn't like it there either...but Charity didn't really care about Princess' feelings.

She nodded. "It's okay," she said. Given everything Melinda had said... she had probably overreacted. "I'll leave you and Princess alone then," she said, turning to go.
He'd frown. "...you told me up in the bedroom that you two can hardly have a civil conversation. I don't think anyone likes having people around they argue with all the time. It's just a phase sweetie...she'll grow out of it."

He glared at the unicorn. He hoped the message it would send to Melinda was clear. If she wanted a war, she was getting one. And he would win. He also knew that he'd need to clear his head. Ash had put him in charge... and he was already screwing up. But he didn't care. Melinda needed to be taught a lesson. Still slightly itchy, Thomas headed for the Pitch, hoping some time on a broomstick would clear his head.
She'd run into the stables, looking around wildly. She'd move to where Princess normally stayed, and bend down, running her fingers through the golden blood on the floor, her eyes widening in horror. She'd look around...she had no idea where Princess had gone, but she could still feel the panic coming from her. She'd turn to leave the stables, grabbing her broom since she stashed it here as she was here so often and it was close to the Quidditch Pitch. She'd find Princess much more easily in the air.
