During the reign of William III & Mary II in 1692 the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy was signed, separating the lives of the magical and the muggles. The reign of the muggle royal family over the magical population of Britain - and later the United Kindgom - was largely undisturbed; both British societies observed the same monarch until the pure-blooded of the magical society began demanding detachment. From what started as being general discontent grew into violent actions with a magical civil war approaching over the horizon. In a stroke of luck that avoided turmoil, the ruling King George III had a magical daughter hidden from the muggle society. This daughter, Princess Charlotte, was quickly installed as the monarch of the magical society of Britain - an act which finally separated the two.
The arrangement worked out perfectly for both societies; whilst both monarchies were separate, the two worked closely to ensure similar values were shared and upheld. When the muggle monarchy changed their house name to Windsor, the magical monarchy followed suit. Everything was harmonious until the ascension of King Henry II. A monarch who wanted to devolve the power of the Ministry itself, Henry became tyrannous early on in his reign. Turmoil that threatened to overthrow the monarchy rose again, saved only by the forced abdication of Henry and the replacement by his eldest daughter, Victoria.
Proving to be the saving grace of House Windsor, Queen Victoria remedied her father's mistakes. She appealed to all crowds of magical life; advocating for no discrimination for species, being proud enough of her pure-blooded heritage to satisfy those who cared whilst remaining completely relatable for all. Her reign, still going strong, has remained among the most harmonious and popular since the magical monarchy's establishment.
Ronan was born to Mary and Cornelius and twin to his sister Elenore, having been born just a few minutes before her. Like most would expect, He was raised with with happy memories but, there was also some strict rules to follow as he did so. Mary and Cornelius, as Ronan likes to refer to them as, were known to have a more laid back and free way of being and that’s how they raised their children. Though his parents were also aware of their titles and were sure to mold Ronan into the Prince he was meant to be. It all started from the time he could walk and talk.
As a child, Ronan wasn’t always one to interact with many individuals aside from his twin. Not that he had a difficult time doing so, he often just found himself liking silence and being in the company of himself. Because of this, Ronan didn’t have many friends and not only that, spent most of his time in the castle drawing or spending his time doing other creative things. It was something he enjoyed greatly, drawing & painting and as he got older - sculpting. It was also something his parent’s didn’t complain about considering his twin was somewhat of a troublemaker when she wanted to sneak out and play with the commoner children.
Like most, Ronan had his first magical encounter at the age of 7 but, it wasn’t something to be amazed about. All he did was make make some object float in air for a few minutes and that was that. Then years later he received his hogwarts letter but, his twin played a big part in his decision not to attend. Ronan really did love his sister and was very protective of her, so much so that when she decided to attend a muggle primary school he followed suit. Unlike Eleanor, Ronan didn't transfer to Hogwarts though when he finished his primary schooling. His parent had brought up another school that offered an amazing art program. This of course made it difficult for Ronan to connect with his family and missing them was even worse but, they had a art program there that he felt Hogwarts could measure up to. So, Ronan continued his years at the private school and to make up for the lack of wizarding knowledge, his parents hire a private teacher for him. It was here that Ronan was taught everything he need to know, as if he had attended hogwart itself. He even learned to perform wandless magic and became quite skilled in it. Of course it was much more chaotic than wand magic and he stuck to the smaller spells for safety.
Once his years at the primary school was over, Ronan returned home and had no set plans for his future. As of the moment, he is trying to decide where he’d like to end up in 20 years and how he’s going to get there. In the meantime, he paints and sculpts and even sells them off on some occasions
