As they two got closer they could see a large hole in the bottom of the boat...clearly what had caused it to sink. It looked like a small boat someone would use just for going out on the water or fishing and wasn't too old. They couldn't see anything inside the hole due to the depth and lack of light.

He frowned, swimming closer, trying to ascertain how long it had been here... he didn't want there to be some kind of a... body or something.
She'd follow his lead. Her words would be distorted and quiet due to the water but he would be able to make out what she was saying. "Seems like it's been here a little while...hopefully nothing too dangerous or scary is inside." She'd glance back at the others who were now headed towards them.

As they neared the entrance something large (about double their size) would shoot out from the darkness and swim past them towards the open water. Once they got over the scare and could turn to see it properly they would recognize it as a hippocampus. It would stop a decent way from them and turn to observe them cautiously.
Their eyes would be wide as they watched the thing. It moved faster then they had thought anything could underwater.

Jonathan hovered as much as he could be still in the water. His stance was open, unafraid; but also nonthreatening. He was trying to contain his excitement, instead just keeping a calm, pleasant expression on his face.
The hippocampus would have started to move a little closer before it noticed the twins and would let out a piercing low shriek which would both affect the water as a slow wave moving through it and move through all of their minds paralyzing them before darting away into the water. They would all sink down slowly but after about ten seconds the effect would wear off and they would all be able to move again.

He sighed. He knew it wasn't worth trying to go after it. Disappointment was on his face, but he didn't show it.
OOC: They're 6, but I'm sure they would've done that regardless.
He'd pull the twins aside his tone stern. "That was very dangerous. Animals aren't something you can just run at like that...they get scared and then defend themselves. You could have gotten everyone hurt."
OOC: I knew they were 6 I looked it up this morning...but for some reason I hit the 4.

He shrugged. "It's okay." He looked over at the twins. "They weren't doing it on purpose. They don't know any better. I just thought it'd be really cool to tell Aunt Melinda I got to see one up close."
She'd get up and close the umbrella before laying back down. "I'll just be like ten minutes Mom. I'll dry off and get warm and let everyone use the showers then head up and get a shower myself."

She flicked her wand to open it back up. "I got the worst sunburn of my life while on a beach, laying out. I fell asleep before applying sunscreen and I burnt from my neck, all the way down my back to my ankles. It hurt to sit, and every time I changed clothes, I could feel it. I don't want that to happen to you."
She'd glare up at the umbrella and then at her Mom. "It won't. I'm just waiting for the others to shower and then I'll go inside. I'm not going to fall asleep."
OOC: I'm tempted to make her fall asleep. :P

She could tell that maybe Aria needed to learn the hard way... as much as that pained her as a mother. "Okay. I'll meet you up at the house." She gathered anything the twins and Ash left behind and headed up.
She'd push over the umbrella...it wasn't real anyway...and lay back on the towel. The sun felt so nice on her skin...and it was quiet again like when she'd first come down this morning before everyone else...
