History[]
Rémi Aureliano Letang Cáceres was born to French Quidditch player Paul Letang and his Uruguayan model wife, Gala Cáceres. Born at the eve of his father's career, Rémi was lucky enough to grow up and remember his father's prime. His father was his role model growing up, and it eventually lead him into his own chosen path of Quidditch at a young age. He rode a broomstick as soon as he could walk. Quidditch-related gifts were what he loved the most as various gifts given at Christmases and birthdays. Luckily for him, the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. While other legacies struggled to live up to their parents' talent and skill, Rémi was a natural at Quidditch.
Paul Letang's iconic legacy did not end only in his playing career. Within a few years of retiring, he stepped out into the scene as a manager. Like he was leading teams to wins as a player, he did it again as a manager. His managerial career eventually lead him to the best league in the world: the British and Irish Quidditch League. The Letang family moved to England when Rémi was nine years old. By then, it was clear that he was a good Quidditch player in the making. He was proving to be quite the accomplished wizard too. Many controversies arose in his youth career over his usage of accidental magic in key moments. One key moment was when in the final of a youth competition, Rémi was in competition with another Seeker for the capture of the Snitch. The other Snitch was almost in the grasp of the other Seeker. But somehow, some way, the Seeker was caught by Rémi. Many bitter parents and children accused of Rémi of somehow manipulating his magic in order to help his team win. But Rémi always dismissed any of these claims.
For magical education, Rémi attended Beauxbatons over Hogwarts due to his grasp on the English language not being good enough yet. He was promptly sorted into Ombrelune, and joined the Quidditch team early on. During his time at Beauxbatons, Rémi certainly developed a reputation for being a fuckboy. It was the usual self-confident model of knowing he was the next big thing alongside his natural good looks and loud personality. His later years were filled with professor-scolding parties and a path of girls that took up a spot next to him whenever it was free. Many scorned at his actions, behind his back and some to his face. It didn't matter. By the time Rémi graduated school, he was already set up with a big French Quidditch team. His future seemed bright.
An injury early in the season didn't ruin his chances, but they did make them more dimmer. Rémi was soon transferred to midtable team Pride of Portree, where he has been tearing it up ever since and amusing the British wizarding press with his off the air antics.
Personality[]
Anyone who knows Rémi likes to say that he's overdosed on confidence. His harshest critics like to paint him as too arrogant for his own good. Rémi himself just shrugs his shoulders and smiles, saying that it's not a bad thing to know your self-worth. He prefers dealing with all the good things his accomplishments bring. What can he say? Rémi is someone that reallly enjoys his days in the sun. To all the comments he gets, he really doesn't give a fuck. He's fearless to whatever consequences come his way - fitting for someone who likes to live in the now.
Funnily enough, Rémi is a bundle of paradoxes. He's gained quite a reputation for being another one of those partying fuckboy Quidditch stars. His friends have to drag him out his home sometimes because he really can't be arsed to change out of his sweatpants and go out. His outgoing, funny guy personality is on display 24/7 in the public eye. Rémi privately reflects on how he needs to talk to more people because he can't help but feel left out of everything. More jokes, anyone? Hundreds upon thousands flock to his Witchagram for his frequent updates. Rémi wants to delete it, actually. There's some sort of paradox between the Rémi that shows himself to the world and the Rémi that keeps himself locked at home. If anyone knows the true Rémi, they keep their mouths shut. Rémi himself is tight-lipped on this matter.
