Romeo Layton Parker was born to a woman whose name he'll never know on December 25th. By the time he could realize what was going on in the world around him, he was an orphan at Lil Bundles. It was there where he had his forst sign of magic at age six - that book that was too high to reach on the shelf came flying to his hand after a moments struggle. That's when and where he discovered he was gifted with magic. It was also there that he met his best friend in the whole world, Tessa Matthews. They did everything together: play, grab ice cream, even make a whole new squad of friends. They were on top of the world. But what goes up must come down. It was in the height of their friendship when Tessa got adopted by a phsycopath disguised as an appropriate mother. Honestly, who at Lil Bundles gave that woman custody? Even at a young age, Romeo knew she was no good for his Tess. After her adoption, he saw less and less of his best friend and eventually, their squad fell apart. Andrew Paxton, a famous quidditch player and author, decided to adopt Romeo soon after. With that, change came like a flood.
The two moved to Italy where Andrew could focus on his writing career and Romeo could attend a prestigious school that could help him go into any career he wanted when he was old enough. While it was his dream to be adopted, especially by someone who shared his love of literature and quidditch, Romeo couldn't help but miss Tessa. He wrote to her for a while, but eventually their lines of communication ran cold. Though he attended a muggle school, Romeo was taught everything he needed to know about magic from Andrew. When they weren't hitting the books, they were out playing quidditch. His home life was everything he'd hoped for, but school was much different. At the school in Italy, Romeo was picked on and made fun of for his traditonal views. He was a gentleman amongst swine, and it was hard for him to thrive. Bully after bully, the sweet little boy finally snapped.
He got into fights at school - at first as self-defence but it wasn't too long before he was throwing the first punch. He sought out rude and mean boys at school and taught them a lesson - when he wasn't expelled of course. He was always having problems with discipline and learned to not care. It was just easier. Despite his intelligence, his grades and attendence dropped incredibly low. While Andrew was constant in his life, he tried his best to positively influence Romeo. Andrew was the only thing keeping Romeo from being kicked out of school all together. But once again, life decided to screw him over in the worst possible way.
When Romeo was the ripe young age of sixteen, a couple of police officers greeted him at his home. There, on the front step of the large establishment, Romeo was told that his legal guardian Andrew Paxton had been murdered on his way home from the grocery store earlier that morning. In a state of shock, dismay, anger, and simply not knowing what to feel, Romeo ran. He wasn't going back in the system. He couldn't live in that huge house by himself. He didn't know where to go, but he knew he didn't want to be where he was. He dropped out of school, lived on the streets, and tried to push away all the pain that the world seemed to be shoving in his direction. Romeo eventually ended up back in London where he reconnected with the wizarding world.
Homeless and lonely, Romeo knew he needed to get his life in some kind of order. He couldn't survive like this. He charmed his way into different jobs, making enough money to scrape by with before getting fired for fighting or any other kind of violence. Currently unemployed with very little money, Romeo is trying to find a way to live in the cruel world he's come to know way too well.
