Personality
Rosie is the type of person who you'll almost never see angry. She's a master at keeping her cool, and knows how and when to stay calm. She's a listener more than a talker, and tends to take care of her friends, and thus has been known as a sort of motherly figure. However, don't take her for a pushover. She can enforce her rather "tough love" (with Sean, for instance), and can be a little snappy when she needs to be. Her close friends know that they can count on her for anything and that she's always there for them, but they also know to be afraid of her, just a little bit. Depending on just how stubborn you are, she can have quite a sharp tongue.

History
Myung Soyul was the last child, and the youngest daughter, of Myung Sangpyo and Myung Hyemi. The couple had been expecting twins, a brother to mirror his sister. However, when the two children were born, the boy was stillborn. The girl, a frail and fragile thing, was sickly and small, but survived. After the miscarriage, the couple decided to move out of South Korea for a better upbringing for their small daughter, who they were sure would feel oppressed by the hypercompetitive schooling system.So they decided to move to England, where the wizarding community was thriving. The Myungs were an old pureblood family, and the death of Soyul’s twin in the womb seemed to shatter what seemed like the perfect family.
Due to the trauma of the experience, Soyul’s parents ended up more or less ignoring their young daughter, unable to look at her without remembering the child. Soyul was looked after and cared for by her five older siblings - Jana, older by almost eleven years; Kieran, by eight years; Elena and Vince, older sister and brother by six years; and Aaron, her older brother of three years and ended up being closest with. Jana chose the name Rosie for Soyul and acted as a motherly figure to her young sister.
Rosie eventually grew healthy from her weak toddler days and grew into an intelligent and thoughtful girl. Her older siblings, especially Jana and Kieran, became very successful and managed to go their own ways once they were of age. Rosie's parents busied themselves constantly with work, and so Rosie was often neglected at home, and she looked forward enthusiastically to her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. When she finally received it, she was overjoyed as her older siblings had all gone at one point and they talked highly of the institution. After Rosie's first year was over, she was unwilling to go home. Jana, already twenty-two, offered to let Rosie move in with her at her small flat in downtown London. Rosie happily accepted with her parents' consent and still lives with her eldest sister. She is currently a fifth year.
