Sadie, unlike Blake, had made herself right at home (literally) the whole summer. Instead of drawing pain from the past, she gained strength from it - from the laughs, the smiles, the crazy family get-togethers... Not to mention, she had Aeron again. He always had a pun when she started to get sad, and she always owled Blake if things ever got her too down. But for the most part... Sadie was starting to be okay again. School was over and she graduated with flying colors just like she'd always hoped. The only difference was that her family wasn't there to see it... And neither was Eeku. All those thoughts pushed aside, Sadie was having a pretty good, normal day. She'd entered the living room with earbuds playing pop music in her ears, a pint-sized mint chocolate-chip ice cream in one hand with her iPod (one of the few reasonable muggle inventions) in the other - all while she was dancing like nobody was watching. That is until she realized there was someone who could've been watching. "Blake?"

Sadie frowned, pausing her music and taking out her earbuds. "What's up? Why are you so down?" She inquired as she came to sit aside her sister. "You're thinking about them again, aren't you?" Sadie asked with a concerned expression. She could always tell when Blake was thinking about everything that happened. She could tell because Blake did it way too often...

Blake is... destroyed. She's not been able to piece together her soul from when it was shattered all those years ago. She's been in constant pain, her life a struggle with her heart's pieces thrown all around. Her heart is broken, it's pieces. No, it's crumbs. Dust, even. She hates what her life has become. She's really been a disgrace to her family, and she regrets everything. From not doing enough to keep them from moving here, to even not being enough to keep them alive. Her mother... her death was Blake's fault. She knew that, of course she did. Everything was... horrible. Her life was so bleak. But looking around the living room, even with the dust that's settling, memories of everyone alive and happy fill her mind. They fill her, overwhelm her, and cause her to lose her balance, falling roughly on her knees. The tears that she'd been able to keep at bay were just falling from that point, and she cried. She cried, she wept, she screamed. Even with its lifeless form, the living room was just as it was when everyone was alive. When candy mayhem night was still a thing. And it tore her apart. Edmund's grumpy persona, Aeron's joyous ways of living, Ansel's usual snarky comments, Lena's sweetness, Sadie's naiveness, Arthur's witty remarks, and even Boyce's hatred for these events... they overwhelmed her and left her breathless, gasping for air. The pain that was crushing her was nearing unbearable. This was her family home, and it was the exact same... except it didn't have a family anymore. She missed everyone, and she already wanted to be with the ones she'd lost throughout time, so even with wobbly legs, Blake forced herself onto her feet. She nearly fell, more than once, but she wanted to get this done as soon as possible. She was minutes shy from reuniting with her family. The prospect of it was... daunting, but exciting.
