Nicholas and Atriana were childhood sweethearts, having grown up together as best friends, graduated together as lovers and gave birth to two beautiful children as husband and wife. The twins were born on a cold night in October - on the eve of Halloween to be exact - in a small rural Romanian community that was bustling with the life of young trick-or-treaters hastily going from door to door with expectations of all kinds of goodies. However, that night Atriana went into labor while the two sat nestled together in front of the fireplace. Of course, being new parents was terrifying. Even more so when the father of your children panics so much that they blatantly run into a wall. That night, the two of them both had to have emergency care. Nicholas had to get stitches for his busted forehead while Atriana was busy bringing the twins into the world.
The birth went swimmingly and before long, Atriana and Nicholas were officially parents of a small baby girl and boy. Selene and Ignatius. Ignatius was older by nearly five minutes whereas his sister seemingly refused to come forth into the world. She had to be partially pried from Atriana. It was a surprise to the new parents that they had just brought twins into the world and not just one baby like what they had expected. They were positively thrilled and overcome by emotions and pride.
Sadly, on the way home from the hospital a drunk driver struck the vehicle they were in, killing both Atriana and Nicholas immediately during impact and wounding the twins in the process. Having only been out of the hospital for fifteen minutes, they were rushed right back into the intensive care unit until they were nursed back to proper health and put up for adoption. France's division of the Ministry sent a social worker who was a witch to situate the two young children into appropriate wizarding homes. She fought to keep the two together and thankfully, a family took them in. They were okay people and the twins stayed with them for the better part of seven years before they begun to get tossed around, doing a dance between various foster homes. Once able to attend school, they were finally thankful to stop the constant migrating.
After graduating with decent grades, Selene and Ignatius continued to raise themselves like they had for a large part of a long while, doing various jobs to make money to support themselves. They got into the habit of pawning items and getting more expensive trinkets to sell to the wealthy clientele, working their way up the ladder of success. While Ignatius stayed to the legal side of things, Selene slipped into the more dark ways to attain quick cash - spying, stealing, and negotiating. However, her brother knows hardly anything about this. Eighteen now and well adapted to the life of living in France, the two chose to migrate themselves to London and pick up some more interesting clientele. However, things didn't exactly work out that way. Ignatius got a job as a professor at Hogwarts and Selene now wants a job in the ministry, leaving behind all the old drama of being a rebellious teenager.
