Seraphina Beaumont is the epitome of shyness as she struggles to communicate with every person she meets. While this shy phase only lasts for so long, it can revert when put into an awkward situation that leads her to freeze up and recoil emotionally. While having a fear of being a freak, she tries to avoid interpersonal relationships to the best of her ability but finds herself always making friends regardless.
While naturally intelligent, she has a special eye for detail and spends a lot of her time studying ahead of her fellow peers in attempt to be at the top of her class. She hates to be put on spot or being openly complimented or praised while she believes that hard work is a privilege and not a reward. Seraphina loves a challenge and enjoys solving puzzles, believing that education is the key ingredient to a perfect ministry employee.
On her worst days, she can be extremely stubborn and hard to get along with. She has an inability to process her anger whenever she is hurt which usually gets her into trouble. Despite her compulsiveness, Seraphina has a big heart and can't help but feel hurt.
History
The wizarding Beaumont family has been migrating between France and England since the early sixteen hundreds, which is about as long as they have owned the trademarked Beaumont Vineyards that produce some of the finest wines in France. Carlisle Beaumont met a young and very beautiful Amabella when they were just mere teenagers in high school. Having been together for so long with dreams of creating a family, Aceline was born on January 15th. Their next child, Orville came two years later. Finally, they added the last link to their family tree; Seraphina, the youngest Beaumont.
Her life was relatively easy and laid back and living on a huge vineyard had its perks; like delicious grapes and plenty of room to explore which was what the other Beaumont children did while Seraphina stayed in the comfort of the family library, where she spent a lot of her time playing with books since she couldn't read them yet. When she finally learned, thanks to homeschooling, she hardly ever was seen outside of the library.
By the age of twelve, Seraphina was the second Beaumont child to display magical abilities after Orville. Unfortunately, the magical gene had not passed down to Aceline. This didn't come as a surprise to either Carlisle or Amabella, as not only did the gene skip Carlisle but Amabella had witch blood distantly in her own family. Aceline continued to grow bitter and jealous of her siblings abilities, leading to a lot of tension within the family. Over time, things sort of just worked themselves out when Aceline realized that being a witch wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Plus, she was able to go to public school when she turned twelve.
Every Saturday night, the Beaumont's would travel a couple towns over to visit their grandmother, Fey. She had become a best selling author for a book on wizarding recipes when she was merely thirty five years old.
With the encouragement of Fey, Seraphina and Orville were sent to Hogwarts to attend school like she had when they both became of age. Having joined in her first year, Seraphina is inching closer to her dream of applying to the ministry while Orville just wants to mess around and become a recording artist.
