Shasta Olathe Savage is a Muggle-born witch, the daughter of Valencia Maddox and Philbert Savage. She has one sibling, an elder sister; Cascade. Her godmother is her father's best friend Olathe Begay.
She was named after the soda, Shasta, and her godmother Olathe Begay. She began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 2042, and was Sorted into Ravenclaw house.

Early childhood[]
Shasta Olathe Savage was born in 2031 to Valencia Maddox and Philbert Savage. She is three years younger than her elder sister Cascade. The age difference between the sisters has done nothing to help mend their bond. They fought a lot as little girls and it didn't quite stop as they grow up. They don't share a lot of common interests, and don't do well when confined. Shasta has grown up in a two income household. While that does mean she's been comfortable, to say she's been enjoying privileges that few people can is a bit of a stretch. They weren't rich, by anymeans, and they weren't going paycheck to paycheck either. It meant she didn't get a lot of family time with both of her parents together. Her mother and father worked staggered shifts to make sure that someone was with the kids at all times.
In 2041 Shasta was having a grand old time in the room she shared with her sister. She was flipping through Cascade's diary, reading and laughing writing down dirt to use for later. She was already finished, getting ready to put the book back where she'd found it when the lock broke. Shasta panicked, she didn't know how she'd even managed to break it in the first place. She kept trying to force it back into place, knowing she'd have to ask her parents for help. Cascade was supposed to be at a sleepover that night, she ended up coming home early. Only seconds before her sister opened the door to their room Shasta magically reapplied the lock and chucked it under a chair in her sister's part of the room.
Her magic forced the family to move after a lot of heated arguments about other options. Cascade and their mother Valencia wanted to stay in France. Philbert was happy to move, he wanted what was best for Shasta. Both Philbert and Valencia agreed what was best was for her to go to Hogwarts. Shasta herself didn't want to move, she also didn't want to have magic. Their was nothing she could do about either of those things. She thought about running away because it meant two things; she wouldn't have to move and her family wouldn't fight over her magic anymore. She never did run away, but she still has her low moments when she makes plans. Philbert enthusiastically arranged everything with the help of Ministry officials.
Hogwarts Years (2042-2049)[]
Shasta Savage began her magical education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 2042, she was Sorted into Ravenclaw.
First year[]
In 2042 Shasta boarded the Hogwarts Express for the first time. Headed for Hogwarts in the first years carriage she was joined by: Mable Martinez, Toran Delmar, Emily Jordan, Sterling Robins and Victoria Ruffalo. She became fast friends with fellow classmate Travis Wetzel.
Second year[]
In 2043 she heard a rumer about her best friend. Her former #1 guy Travis Wetzel told his whole house he was going to marry her. He was being serious, they no longer speak.
Third year[]
In 2044 she got trapped in an empty classrom with Sterling Robins. He kissed her and his girlfriend Vicky Ruffalo picked a fight with her afterwards.

Personality and traits[]
Shasta is highly intelligent, through and meticulous. She's never been able to connect with anyone one when that part of herself is on full display. She's learned to compartmentalize, she wants to try harder to fit in with more types of people. She thinks it's possible for one person to move from one group of people to another seamlessly, without ever missing a beat. She analyzes every scenario that she can think of to find said person.
She's a bit of an enigma, she seems to contradict herself. It's not her words that are inconsistent, it's her ways. She's wild but in more a manic way than a rebellious way. Every move she makes has been scrutinize and heavily calculated. She doesn't believing in forcing people to do things, she understands it's necessary, she believes in free will. She's very mellow, she doesn't like to feel rushed and be in highly charged situations.

- Wand: Shasta's wand is made from Larch, long valued as an attractive and powerful wand wood. Its reputation for being hard to please in the matter of ideal owners, and trickier to handle than many imagine is worth the effort since it always exceptional much sought-after wands instill courage and confidence in the user. Her wand's core is made from Unicorn tail hair, producing the most consistent magic, the least subject to fluctuations and blockages, the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts, and the most faithful of wands.

Shasta's relationship with her family is VERY fragile. There is unconditional love there, there's no doubt about it. It's also one of the most intensely passionate family units that continue to exist in the face of implosive threats. She loves her father with all of her heart, it physically pains her to disappoint him. Her mother she loves to a much different degree, it's love that she feels for her nonetheless. Her sister on the hand, that's a very complex relationship, because of the blood connection between them Shasta and Cascade have to love one another.
Etymology[]
- Shasta: Native American Indian origin, Tribal name means 'three-peaked mountain'. The name of a mountain in California and the name of the Shasta daisy. Also the name of a brand of soda.
- Olathe: Stems from Native American Indian origin meaning "Lovely."
- Savage: Nickname for a wild or uncouth person, from Middle English, Old French salvage, sauvage ‘untamed’ (Late Latin salvaticus literally ‘man of the woods’, a derivative of Latin silva ‘wood’, influenced by Latin salvus ‘whole’, i.e. natural).
