Personality

The first thing you'll notice about Sienna Yasmine Hayat Flint is that she has an almost snobbish, higher-than-thou, attitude to the world around her. This isn't entirely incorrect and Yasmine often has a problem with being nice to people that she's not friends with. In fact, she can be rather cruel with strangers, with a tendency to be rather snarky and bitchy. Yasmine, though notorious for being a half blood, acts like a pureblood than anything. But in Yasmine's mind? She's so much better than most of the purebloods anyway. However, she doesn't have a negative attitude, she just doesn't have a good one either. Her attitude is almost suspicious, flippant, and sometimes almost amused to the world around her. However, Yasmine is also a stickler for rules and can rarely be seen breaking them. She has to be heavily convinced before she decides to break them and has to have good reasons to do so–such as believing it to be unjust. Yasmine's moral core is rather cemented–but not in a conservative way. Like her parents, she's incredibly progressive and bases her opinion on anything but a person's sexuality or 'race' or anything else that might set them apart like that. No, Yasmine chooses her opinion based on first impressions and their attitude.

Yasmine is responsible, though, and follows through with her promises and other responsibilities. She's incredibly organised in her schoolwork and is meticulous with what she does. Yasmine is a perfectionist and doesn't stop doing something until she believes it's perfect and hates to do something half done. Yasmine does believe hard work is necessary to succeed and turns her nose to those whole believe they can cut corners on the path to the top. Yasmine can be rather judgemental but she finds her opinions on people can change easily anyway. When it comes to whose she surrounds herself with, Yasmine makes sure it's those who can boost her up and not drag her down. She'd rather hang out with the 'nerds' (even with terrible fashion sense) than the popular group because she knows the 'nerds' can help her do better in school. Unlike her sister, who's known for being fun and daring, Yasmine could be described as the boring twin as Yasmine hesitates to go and let loose. Never say this to Yasmine's face, your soul won't survive. Yasmine's talents lie in two areas. One in music. Two, in potions. Potions easily became her favourite subject in school and she flourished. Yasmine wasn't sure why. Maybe it was the meticulous nature of it. The exact measurements. Everything had to be perfect that Yasmine took to it like a moth to a light. In regards too music, it was something she picked up on as a child. First she learnt the piano, then the violin and then the cello. At sixteen, she also learnt the guitar and the drums, but the latter only so she could practice her timing. Drums isn't exactly her favorite instrument out there.

Yasmine, in short, is confident to herself and with who she is. She doesn't have many insecurities, though she does have her own insecurities here and there–she's still human. For one, failure. Failure scares her. Not that she lets it control her. But for the most part, Yasmine knows what she wants in life and knows what she expects from people. Maybe it is undeserved the respect she asks for, but Yasmine refuses to be disrespected. She doesn't have to be liked, though she does like having a close circle around her, but she has to be respected. Yasmine can't handle being pushed aside. Yasmine, unlike her sister though, is loyal. Once you gain her trust, it's difficult to shake it off and she doesn't believe in using people for her own gain. If she can't do it herself on her own merits, then she doesn't deserve it. No, Yasmine would refuse to throw someone to the side for the sake of social climbing.

History

Nadia Amari, though she would later be known as Nadia Flint, was born in Rumallah, where the administrative government of Palestine. She was born the day after there was a violent revolt by the Palestinians against the Israelis that ignited the second intifa between the two communities. Nadia grew up under this continuing conflict, watching her city be occupied by the Israelis due to the war on terror. Nadia spent her life trying to make it as normal as possible, ignoring the terrorist attacks on both sides, ignoring the political turmoil that kept on occurring. Her older siblings, though, became increasingly political and soon joined the riots occurring during these years. One brother even joined the widely recognised terrorist group, the Hamas. However, Nadia kept herself very much separated from it all. When she was eleven, though, Nadia was dragged out of Pakistan, away from her parents, and sent to Koldovstoretz, the Magical school in Russia.

Nadia struggled tremendously at the school. Not use to a strict schedule, not use to a stable life, and certainly not use to speaking Russian, Nadia found it almost impossible to settle into the magical school. However, by third year, Nadia was fluent in Russian and knew a good amount of English. She found it rather ridiculous that the magical community refused to interact with the muggle world. If there was magic, maybe the TTP could have been stopped. Maybe if they had helped the muggles then so much destruction could have been minimised. Even in the recovery period, even in helping rebuild a war torn city, would have been useful. But this was apparently impossible and just by being magical, Nadia had been recruited into this secret without her permission. Nadia despised her life, though it was a better one than in Palestine. Here, she had little to no contact with her family and during the summer, where she was meant to return home, she stayed in a foster home in Moscow. Pakistan had gotten too dangerous and her parents refused to let her come back.

It was during seventh year that Nadia's life shifted for the better. For her, for others? Not so much. Ceasar Flint was an exchange student from Hogwarts and was a child of the Sacred 28. His family were known to be death eaters and dark wizards, something his own parents had fought to break free from, though they did have tendencies of being blood supremacists. Initially, they had hated each other, failing to find common ground with one another. However, after a year of being forced to study together, they began to become close. Nadia was able to help Ceasar with Russian whilst Ceasar was able to help Nadia with her magic and English. When they graduated from Koldovstoretz, Nadia was at a crossroad. On one hand, she could return to Palestine and find her family, another path was to stay in Russia and find some sort of job there whilst the other path was to go to England. The third option was something she'd been toying with. Her only friend was Ceasar but should she make such a big leap for a boy she'd only known for a year? He was certainly encouraging her to do so. Telling her that she had far more opportunities in England than both countries, that a fresh start would do her good.

Life in England was good. Nadia and Ceasar kept in contact but neither entered the same career path. Ceasar naturally entered the ministry whilst Nadia became a spell creator. It was only when they were twenty did Ceasar finally garner the courage to ask her out. There were two reasons as to why he waited so long. One was that he was incredibly nervous. Nadia was proud and he wasn't sure if she would say yes. The other reason was his family and society. Though his parents were better than most pureblood families, they had still instilled in him that he needed to find someone worthy of him and not...a muggle born. Nadia was very much everything his family didn't want. But finally he decided that he didn't care. He'd fallen in love and surely, as his family, they would understand and want him to be happy. So he asked her out. At first they kept it secret. Neither wanted to make it public without being sure of one another. Eventually, though, they decided to take it to the next step. And then the next. By twenty two, Ceasar had proposed to her, deciding she was the only person he wanted to be with. Of course, it caused a huge scandal in the wizarding world. Many pure blood families scorned the marriage, declaring the Flints blood traitors. The only solace Ceasar had was that his parents decided to support them. Nadia was a good witch and was a good person. Yes, she wasn't a pureblood but even his parents realised she was a better witch than most of the others in the Sacred 28.

By twenty three, though, Nadia had fallen pregnant with twins. They were honeymoon babies, naturally, but neither parent was upset about the news. Instead, they were overjoyed. Nine months later, Nadia had given birth to two healthy daughters. Though Nadia doubted either child would ever go to their mother's homeland, she still wanted them to at least honour their heritage. Thus, she ensured their middle names were Palestinian whilst their first remained a Western name. Both Ceasar and Nadia kept their daughters rather distant from the other nobles, though the twins still knew everyone. Though their parents could be conservative at times, strict, they were still open and progressive. As half bloods in a family that practically had noble status, they were almost outsiders. Nadia and Ceasar were worried about the two being bullied by the other families, so they kept them as separated as possible.

Sienna, who went by Yasmine when she turned five, was a good child. She studied hard, her grades were always the best in the class, and had a healthy social life. Yasmine was the child that was always getting invited to birthday parties and she always accepted. She loved birthday parties and celebrating people. However, Yasmine was also quite content with being by herself. Yasmine was quite an imaginative child and often spent her life thinking up stories here and there. So she was quite content to also be alone as well. Yasmine was...nothing like her rebellious sister. Yasmine liked rules, liked order and liked to make her parents happy. Her first magical incident occurred when she was seven and caused a door to blow off its hinges. Why? Because she was blamed for something her twin sister did and was locked in her room as a consequence. You see, the twin sisters never got along as a children. Even today, one couldn't consider the sister's as close. Close acquaintances, maybe. Friends. But twins who are joined at the hips? Definitely not. Due to the constant arguments they had as children, both Nadia and Ceasar, decided to send the two girls to different primary schools. This might have been a bad decision as it ripped them apart from each other even further.

When Yasmine was ten, the topic of which magical school to send the two girls too was raised. Ceasar would have opted to Hogwarts from the start but both parents were still worried about how others in the sacred 28 would react to them. So they decided to look into Europe in regards to their magical education. Neither parent wanted the children to go all the way to Russia and considered Beauxbatons but they didn't find it to meet their expectations. So this left Durmstrang. Though they only allowed purebloods into their ranks, due to their last name, they were made an exception. Thus, when they turned eleven the two girls were sent to Durmstrang. Initially, everything was fine. For Yasmine anyway. She stuck out of trouble, though she did become a queen bee of sorts. Yasmine had a group of friends constantly at her side. Rarely did she interact with her twin and even when they did, it was constantly arguments. Life was good for Yasmine. Unlike Viola (though Yasmine sometimes got the privilege of calling her A'isha), who had fallen into the wrong crowd, Yasmine was the complete opposite. Her friends boosted her up, she was almost the top of her class, and was suspected of having every position of power in Durmstrang thrown at her.

It changed when they were in third year. Viola got a boyfriend, one in fifth year. Naturally, Yasmine didn't approve of this, in fact she curled her nose at it, but it wasn't her life. She'd accepted the fact Viola was going to ruin her own life. As long as she didn't drag Yasmine down with her. Yasmine wasn't really privvy to the relationship that Viola was involved in. Nor did she pry. Yasmine never dated anyone. It was expected of her and she got propositions every other week, but she turned them down. Yasmine was never really interested in them. She had one crush and that was on her best friend but it took a while to develop. It wasn't until Hogwarts did she find a name for her own sexuality. Demisexual. But that isn't important. In fifth year, did everything change. Viola came to her with news Yasmine really didn't want to hear. Her sister was pregnant by Heinrich Schneider. By then, he was about to graduate and naturally he knew about his and Viola's, in Yasmine's word, mistake. Heinrich had asked her to run away with him. Drop out of school and leave all of it behind and start a new life with him. This was what Viola to snap back into reality. The idea of being a fifteen year old mother completely dependent on Heinrich. Refusing to turn to her friends' for good reason, Viola turned to Yasmine. Her sister. Initially, Yasmine was infuriated, refusing to speak to her for a day before she came back to help.

Yasmine, being only fifteen herself, had little idea of how to actually help Viola. Though she was the more sensible one, Yasmine was in over her head. However, Viola told her the truth about the relationship and Yasmine came to one conclusion: if she left with Heinrich, she'd most likely end up dead. Or in some sort of jail. Heinrich wasn't going to go anywhere though. Viola had broken up with him but he forced her right back into their relationship and their toxic cycle. So Yasmine decided that the only solution was for Viola to get out of Durmstrang. But how to do that? Yasmine thought of a method quickly enough. She told Nadia. Their mother. Of course, this was done behind Viola's back, though the moment she sent the letter, she told Viola what she had done. Naturally, Nadia was furious and took both girls' out of school. Though for Yasmine, Nadia gave her a choice and Yasmine decided to leave. Yasmine's heart wasn't made of complete stone. Nadia knew this would destroy their father so she decided to keep it a secret between the three girls. For the next six months, they spent their time in North America. After the child was born, they placed the baby up for adoption and travelled straight back to London and enrolled into Hogwarts. Initially, they were entered into sixth year but due to most of the year out of school and their birthday, they were brought back down a year into fifth.
