It's the late hours of Christmas Eve and not a soul in the penthouse should be awake. Speaking logically, it's likely one of the twins or Julian himself are still awake, whether it's because they want a sneak peek at the gifts or, in her baby daddy's case, concerned, but as she leans over the balcony's railing, enjoying a glass of wine, these concerns quickly evaporate. She stirs the drink mindlessly as her eyes follow the colorful specks in the distance that are more than likely other people enjoying the Christmas decorations adorning Lincliff City. She's lost in her thoughts, largely because of Nikita's attempts this morning at getting in touch with her, and consequently takes longer than usual to realize anyone has joined her until the glass door behind her seals shut. Without turning, she smiles into the rim of the glass. "Julian," she acknowledges, "Here to chaperone me?" A joke, really; he's been very helpful ever since she returned several months ago. The journey that was her recovery had been long and tumultuous, and even know she can't say she's fully well, but Julian has no doubt been a shining light in all this.

"No, that's the crows job," Julian remarked as he found himself out on the balcony with his own bottle of wine. He was more of a dessert wine drinker, the stinky ones, rather than the reds or the whites. Julian wasn't sure if that was true, however he swore he kept on seeing a raven. But it might also be another type of bird. Julian wasn't much of a bird watcher. "I'm here to drink. It's Christmas," he said as he made his way to the balcony and slid onto the railing, next to Tessa, his back to the view. "Not cold?" He asked as he unscrewed the lid with his teeth and spat the lid out over his shoulder, dimly registering that this could be dangerous if it hit someone in the head. Julian was still dressed in the Christmas jumper Fabian had insisted on him wearing and Julian was, of course, happy to comply. A snowman, whose nose lit up sporadically, decorated the knitted jumper.

"Crow? Merlin, what have you been drinking?" Tessa glances back at him before she looks out at the open sky. She doesn't see anything. Then again, her eyesight has been suffering a lot ever since the whole debacle with Nikita, so maybe she's losing it. "Hot flashes," she shrugs in response to his question. Her body has been... decidedly weird, ever since she got back. Extremely cold, extremely hot, very hungry, not at all — there wasn't really any consistency in how she felt, and it was maddening, but sadly something her private healer had warned her about, so she can't say this is something that's been taking her by surprise. "Nice jumper," she grins, glancing at the lit-up nose. "No Santa hat to come with it? Nonsense," she tuts. Reaching out, she gives it a few moments before the hat on the sofa she'd nonverbally summoned flies out one of the windows and ends up on her hand. She pushes away from the railing to set it on his head with a satisfied smile. "Much better."

Julian didn't even flinch when Tessa pulled the hat over his head and he mourned his hair that he so particularly put together. He didn't like hat hair. He felt like his hair looked like a bowl cut. But he didn't care that much. Tessa could put whatever she wanted on his head. But, also, Claire and Fabian loved using his face as a canvas that he'd long grown use to it. "Nothing out of the ordinary," he mumbled before he raised the bottle of Rosé. "Do you want a glass? I was going to drink out of the bottle but you might think I have germs. Claire is convinced I have cooties." Julian wasn't a medic, he did terrible in healing back in Hogwarts, so he wasn't sure how to help with the flashes but she knew if she needed anything, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
