The Hog's Head
The Hog's Head Inn is an inn and pub in Hogsmeade. The bar at the Hog's Head comprises one small, very dirty, and dingy room that has bay windows that are so encrusted with filth that you can barely see through them. The place is full of rough wooden tables that generally have nothing except the stubs of candles sitting upon their surfaces. The stone floor of the place is so dirty that it looks as though there is not a floor at all, but instead that the building is simply built on open ground. Come sit down at one of tables or at the bar, and The Hog's Head's current owner and operator will serve you a beverage.
With everything going on she needed a drink. Eric hadn't been heard from and that Aurors apparently had nothing to report. Drinking anywhere in Diagon Alley would mean potentially running into family or a place they owned...and here she might run into Evangeline is she went to the Three Broomsticks. She'd gotten a drink from the bar though she was hesitating on actually drinking it given the smell and was sitting at the bar planning on being alone with her thoughts...and drink if she ever decided to actually taste the thing."
She'd nod considering that and glancing back to her own drink. "Well then once I get up the courage to drink this...maybe I'll try that next." She'd glance around. "I can't say I'm in here much."
Her face would darken for a moment losing the cheer she'd had a few moments before and she'd look away. "I'm here to not have to think about things."

Ella needed a break. There were so many things going on, including but not limited to; Her father returning. She was avoiding going home at this point. She knew she had to do something, but she didn't have the resources to yet... Ella takes another sip of her firewhiskey, her face scrunching up in disgust. Nobody drinks for the taste, right?

Her nerves are a little diffused now that they're in a shady area where nobody would give them a second look, unless some Ministry official gets lost and finds their way in here. The Firewhiskey tastes cheap, but it's hot and spicy and more than enough to get her through the evening before they start planning their next heist. Speaking of which... "How do we get through the waterfall in Gringotts?" she muses aloud, voice hushed so nobody overhears. "You're the charms genius between us. I just set things on fire."

The two shady girls that entered -- to no surprise to anyone -- sat near Ella, and Ella noticed. She also recognized who they were immediately. But she knew better than to stare. Ella just continued sipping her drink, attempting to listen carefully to the conversation.

The hairs on her neck had stood up for some reason, and when Manon snaps at the woman on the opposite table, Lilith quickly figures out why - someone had been listening in. She gives the woman a stare, cold and hard.

Should have expected that, honestly. Every criminal knows the trick. Ella just simply smiles and turns towards them. "Gringotts is... Ambitious. I'm impressed, that's all." Ella paused for a moment, and realization fell onto her face. "How good are you at breaking into places, exactly...?"

Unimpressed, she leans back in her chair and folds her arms, strong and guarded. Manon is probably the best person to handle this - Lilith's temper can lead her to do daft things when she's trying to keep them safe.

It kind of clicks into place when Lilith notices the small details, and a hand shoots forward and lands on Manon's arm in warning. "And why would a Ministry woman want someone to be assassinated?" She says in a cold voice to the woman: it's obvious, really. Her demeanor, the nervous way she'd listened in. And for the less observant reader, the fact that her bag has a Ministry tag on is a pretty decent tell.

Ellla looked confused for a moment, before it clicked, and she just laughed. "I worked at the ministry for about a month in a desk. I'm a private investigator now." Ella rolls her eyes. "Just for the record, you try killing your father and see how you do." Ella stares at Lilith for a moment. "I was raised as an assassin. Then I tried turning my life around, and the Ministry turned me away when they learned who I was."

"Which name do you mean? Juliette, Jennifer, Elise, Helene.... the list can go on, but right now it's Ella, and I was born as Anzhelika." Ella gives a dry smile towards them. "As for resources, I can offer money, information, I can steal files, though Gringott's is... Tricky. But from the Ministry? Piece of cake. Can we please just get on with business, because I'd like my problem gone as fast as possible. All you'll need to do is get me in. I can take care of the rest."

Although the idea of collaborating is the least appealing deal she can think of, it's undeniable that they could use the resources if they want to pull off this sort of heist. Her eyes meet Manon's, sharing nothing and everything, before going scrutinisingly back to Ella. "What's our insurance?" she drawls, picking up her glass. "How do we know we can trust you? And don't say we'll have to wait and see, or I'll throw this at your head."

"Ooh, I've never been asked for insurance before," Ella admits. "Then again, new territory. What do you want me to offer? My firstborn child? Because you're shit out of luck, I am never having a child."

"I was working with people who knew me since I was ten," She hisses. 'It's not my fault this new generation of criminals are untrusting little shits." Ella pulls her bag towards her, scrounging in it for a moment before pulling out a pair of keys, speaking as she did. "I have a stash of... stuff. Items. Weapons, money, and a number for a couple of old friends who loved making fake IDs and passports. You can have the keys for it, but I'll be damned if you're getting the location until you help. Consider it payment." Ella threw the keys on the counter, landing them right in front of Lilith.

She's definitely nowhere near as okay with this as Manon clearly is, but she doesn't want to disagree with Manon at the risk of her doing it anyway, so she sighs and nods gently. "So far, you have."

"Great, then we're doing it tonight. Meet me at my office tonight, and let me make this very clear... All you have to do it get me inside. I'm doing all the dirty work. Once you do your job, leave. Do whatever the hell you want. If I die, there are also keys there to my office, and the location is... somewhere in there. Or at least it will be, in case you get any cute ideas." Ella gives them another dry smile as she hands them her card, Ella Mayakovsky, PI.

The card gave no shimmer, and seeing the examination, Ella rolls her eyes, stands up, and finishes the rest of her drink. "If you'll excuse me, I have preparations to make." Ella finishes with a sigh, turning to walk off.
