The Leaky Cauldron

The Leaky Cauldron is the oldest pub in London and is believed to have been built sometime in the 1500s, along with the rest of Diagon alley. The pub is one of the few connections to Muggle London and Wizarding London. In the muggle world, The Leaky Cauldron is found in Charing Cross Road and to the muggle eye, it is a small, broken-down old shop front. Once, before the statute of secrecy, muggles were welcomed into the pub with open arms, though this changed under Ulick Gamp, the Minister of Magic at the time. To allow its survival, he ensured that the shop was placed under heavy spells and protection. In the Wizarding world, the Leaky Cauldron has an entrance to both Diagon alley and Knockturn Alley found in the establishment's backyard.

However, under Alistair Fitzgerald, the foot traffic between the two worlds have been minimised with the establishment under constant threats to close their door to the muggle world shut permanently. However, though there is a sign reminding the people of the current laws, it still remains open. It is not the first time this establishment has suffered under fascist governments, and no doubt not the last.

Currently, it's owned by Phoebe. Someone whose family was well known to be against muggles and anything related but she herself as become more open minded as the years passed by. Thus, she is known to turn a blind eye if you pass into Muggle London. Under Phoebe, the pub hasn't changed much but she has renovated the bedrooms to be more accommodating to those that stay there. The pub itself, though, is still rather grungey but is still the best place to go for any interesting gossip.

Toni was, of course, too young to drink but he was there anyway. He was there writing in a little notebook. Benji was meant to be meeting him but he was late, apparently, so Toni was stuck with his own thoughts. So naturally, he was writing. A pub like this, so lively and chaotic, was the perfect place. History's best ideas began in communes like this. Sitting at a high table, perched on a stool, he was scribbling away, waiting for true inspiration to hit him. In the meantime, he would make do with half coherent thoughts that he strung together.

Among the people who had already been inside was Luciano, sitting at one of the tables with a book lying in front of him. It was something about potions but, his head wasn't in the right state of mind to retain most of the information. A light-hearted sigh escaped his lips probably only audible to himself before he glance up and around the room. His brown eye observed the people around him and their faces, being somewhat of a people watcher when he need to center his mind though, he was careful not to stare for too long to not catch anyone's attention. Briefly, Toni did draw his attention more than anyone else in the room however Luc didn't have any intention of interrupt the guys writing.

Toni had to keep an eye out on the world around him. Inspiration will never find him if he kept to himself. He had to stretch outwards to find beauty. It will never find him. So he noticed the boy trying to study (the emphasis was on trying-Toni wasn't a fool to think this session was going well) and his own spying. Letting his eyes raise upwards to rest on the guy, he wasn't ashamed enough to try and hide his own staring, very much prepared to wink if they made eye contact.

He didn’t mean to stare. Really he didn’t but, Luc found his gaze stuck on Toni for longer than he had planned. Before he knew it, it was too late and the two had made eye contact causing Luciano to mentally curse. This unsettled the young male, his body moving quickly to try and seem natural but, it only resorted in Luc knocking over his drink and spilling it over the table. “Shi...” He mumble under his breathe as he quickly went to rescue his book from the liquid, hoping he hadn’t made a complete fool of himself.

Toni watched the boy make a complete mess with both amusement and surprise, his smirk slowly melting off and surely his eyes were deceiving him. After a moment, he stood up and walked over. "Here, let me help you," he said, bringing out his wand, casting the spilt liquid back into the glass. "Tragic when a book is destroyed. So full of power. Did you get any on yourself?"

Why didn't i think to do that... Luciano thought to himself as he watched Toni cast his spell and instantly clean up the mess. "I didn't thankfully but..." He raised his book up by the corner and watched as a few droplets of water fell to the floor. "My book wasn't so lucky." Honestly, the whole situation was humors to the young wizard, how he made such a fool out of himself but, he was sure to hold back any laughter. "Thank you for helping me with the spill, don't suppose you know a spell for drying a book. If not i guess i'll have to make do with a hair dryer."

"I'm afraid the damage might already be done, nothing too special I hope?" Toni asked, leaning against Luc's table. He hasn't been invited to sit and he didn't want to assume he could and invade the boy's space. "Also, I'm afraid my skills might lie more with the pen rather than the wand. To my parent's chagrin, of course."
