Islandyas

An island off the coast of Norway, it was initially a home for a nymph clan once upon a time. If legends are to be believed, then this clan was well before the Ancient Greeks but in truth, they lived in the island around the time period of the Trojan war. However, for reasons lost, they departed the island but not before making sure that the island would remain unfound by wixes and muggles alike. Over time, though, this ancient magic has weakened and a certain group of Hogwarts students have been able to penetrate it with the help of a badly made portkey.

Please note, that this is a limited dynamic sort of thing and this island will become disused afterwards

So maybe Kian was right. Maybe Kian didn't need to be a seer to know that anyone related to the Sakellarios family going on a plane would be a bad idea. She just...what were the chances of it happening again? The plane crashing again? Surely, if there was a god in this world, he would have crossed off 'plane accidents' for traumatic events and done something else. To, you know, keep it fresh. Keep it interesting. Yes, this was why she officially didn't believe in god. No way. She didn't know where they were. She didn't even know if all of them had touched that portkey in time. She was in that cabin, leaning over, and soon she was swallowing water. She couldn't see anyone else but she had seen the island and swam towards it. She was lucky that she had her backpack on her lap so she had something to lean on to keep herself afloat. After lying on the beach for a few moments, she finally got onto her feet. "Fletcher," she yelled, reciting names at random, "Aejun, Millie....Marlene!" Her eyes were on the horizon and the other beach. Come on-she can't be the only...no, no way in hell can she be the only one to survive. Maybe that portkey put them all on the other side of the island?

Well. That was eventful. Life has prepared Fletcher to stay calm under pressure but watching your plane take a nose dive into the ocean was never on the list of potential events; and though he didn't scream and panic like his peers had, his heart had practically leapt into his throat as the Portkey slowly brought itself together. The feeling of hot sand beneath his bare arms is what jolts him back to reality. That and the brightness, sun rays streaming down through a cloudless sky directly into his eyes. The water looks like carnage, white foam spluttering up from where people seem to be splashing around near the shore, but he's on the coast, bone dry - and thankfully, with his backpack still clinging to his shoulder. It doesn't feel real. This all could still be a bad dream, right? But the burns on his arms and the sound of someone - Delphine? - calling his name greatly suggests the opposite. And the sand, all in his hair and under his shirt, getting everywhere. Anakin was right. "Delphine!" he calls back once his voice returns, pushing himself up and looking around to see where the hell the noise is coming from; his side of the beach looks pretty empty.

Marlene feels sick where she lays, quite a bit further inland than Fletcher and Delphine, and right near some shrubbery. Her head is pounding and she's completely disoriented from her rough landing, which she's pretty sure she broke with her shoulder if the searing pain is anything to go by. The slightest movement makes her cry out suddenly and sharply, her clavicle easily seen poking against her skin at an awkward angle. This is the universe laughing at me. This is the universe laughing at me. This is the universe laughing at me. It's like a mantra in her head; a reminder that this kind of bullshit could've been avoided had she just kept to herself, nose buried in a book rather than trying to meet people like her dad had bargained with her to do. She can barely lift her head, let alone see anywhere that isn't the admittedly pretty blue sky. "Yeah." Marlene tries to shout it out, but she's lucky enough that it's even audible to anyone that might be close by. She clears her throat as she tries to use her good arm to sit up, but more pain shoots up her body. This is most definitely the universe laughing at me. "Anyone nearby?" she tries to ask again, and thankfully, her voice sounds louder this time; just strained from the pain.

There had been a plane, and a portkey, and...well, then it was all black. Millie's head shot up out of the water after trying to gasp for air with her head completely submerged. Trying to recollect her thoughts, the only thing she was able to remember was arranging plans right before the holiday.' It's going to be so much fun,' she had said to herself. 'What can be any more easy-going than vacationing with some of your school friends?' This wasn't the vacation she had signed up, and she wanted an instant refund. No. What she really wanted was the ability to time travel and tell her past self to never step on a plane again. She treaded water and pushed her head up high to glimpse for anything—or anyone—in her surroundings, but the restless waves moving towards the coast pushed harder. It took several minutes to reach a depth where she could stand, being jerked by the ripping current in the process, and several minutes more to escape the infinite amount of breaking waves. Her calfs and arms felt like they were on fire, and she collapsed on the beach as soon as she made it there. She opened her mouth to possibly scream or curse or call out for someone, but instead got into a coughing fit from all the sea water that had filled up in her stomach and lungs.

Elayne's head bursts out from underneath the water as she carefully treads to shore. Her wand is still on her, thank Circe, but that doesn't mean she's not panicking. She had a bad feeling about this trip, yes, but she never pictured anything going wrong to thsi degree. She twists her hair in her hands to get most of the water out as she approaches the rest of the group. She does a quick head count as her eyes dart from person to person, but her thoughts are still spinning. "Where are we?" she ends up saying instead, as her eyes drift towards the rest of the island.

From where Fletcher was standing, the voices were well off and it was clear his end of the beach wasn't anywhere near the others. However, he wasn't alone in that there was a fish blubbering about nearby, apparently brought in with all the commotion and the waves that seemed to be getting heavier and heavier with each passing moment. It was a big one, maybe a trout.

Elayne was the closest person in Fletcher's direction but she was in full view of the others emerging from the ocean (bar Marlene but not even Mel or Elouan, who was closest to her, could see her in the shrubbery) with the exception of Fletcher. Though she could probably hear him the clearest. She wouldn't have much time to react, though, as a violent wave came crashing in to her and it was enough to push her down, landing on her wand hard enough for it to splinter and break.
Cam and Na'im were positioned in a small section of the beach that the waves seemed to be split, so they were allowed a moment of reprieve to recover and assess.
Like the other two, Elouan doesn't seem to be in a position to be hurt but with him looking around, he might notice black clouds brewing in the distance and that the waves aren't exactly friendly.
And for Marlene? Well, she can barely see anything with the shrubbery and how dense it is. Unfortunately, she'd be able to feel a plant rubbing against her skin. It's prickly and the moment she breaks free, she'll see a rash already appearing on the exposed skin.

Her head was thumping. Like someone was hitting an anvil with an anvil right next to her ear. It was making her right eye twitch. A migraine was coming-she hadn't gotten one in years. Her vision was beginning to spin and she couldn't quite place where...Fletcher's...voice was coming from and she stumbled forward. However, another voice seemed to be closer and she turned her head to stare....bush. In land. She hadn't seen Elouan so she moved towards the shrubbery. "Hello..." she trailed off before seeing blonde hair, "Marlene. Here, take my hand..." she said stretching out her hand for the other girl. "Can you get up?"

Marlene's vision is crap. Tears have blurred her vision and she's swallowing the urge to scream. Unfortunately, that urge overpowers her when someone — who the hell even is it? — reaches for her and she tries to grab it. "My shoulder!" she cries out, the panic in her rising around the same time ass the pressure in her shoulder grows. She just barely muffles a scream with her other hand. "Pop it back into place. Just - just push it in!" Merc's had to do it before, and so has her dad; she's trusting whoever it is can do it too, because if they don't, she might just become a bat and try to fly away. And die trying, considering her wing would probably be damaged, too. So. "Please!" she sobs.

She hears Marlene's piercing scream and she immediately rushes towards where she is, not fully registering what happened to her wand. "I haven't, no!" she yells out to Na'im as she runs to the other girl. She has seen this happen at the Citadel many times, and while she hasn't had to pop back anyone's shoulder in herself, she says a quick prayer that it will go well and that Marlene will not squeeze off Mel's hand in the process. "Okay, I've g-got this!" she says, taking a deep breath. "Lie down." she instructs, and as soon as Marlene is positioned, she keeps her arm straight and level with her body, with her forearm and hand facing downward. She begins rotating the arm into place, hoping it will take soon. Surely, this is a lot safer than just trying to push it in.

She pulled herself together long enough to stand up and take in her surroundings, coming to similar observations as the others around her. Most of them were there; standing on the beach or, like herself, making their way out of the water. Almost instinctively, she checked her pocket for her own wand. "Shit," she cursed, pockets empty. She looked behind her too, hoping maybe it had only recently slipped away and that the waves would have generously brought it back to her in mint condition. No such luck. Silently, Millie directed herself to the part of the beach where the majority of her friends seemed to be going, and also where she could hear Marlene in pain. She stayed quiet, telling herself that it had to do with the burn and hoarseness in her throat, and kept a look out for their only missing person.

Third Night[]

Game Master
Send Me an Owl! - {{{time}}}
Three nights. No one coming to rescue. They'd put out a 'help' sign on the ground made with twigs and stones. But no plane went overhead to see. Maybe a satellite? Hopefully? But nothing had come. No sign of life outside the horizon. Storms had rolled over by the first nightfall and had only eased for a brief moment in the second day. Whatever resources they might have found had been ruined by the rain. The only cover they had was the overhead trees on the edge of the beach. They could travel more inwards but the storm clouds covered the sun for most of the day and it was deemed too risky to go traipsing through the island without even sunlight to help them. All wands had been broken. One was tossed into a makeshift fire by accident. Someone thought it was tinder. No one came forward to claim who made that mistake. Mel was lucky enough to have found a blanket in her bag but even then it only covered three people at most. It was mostly used for Marlene, still somewhat sore from her shoulder. The one blessing is that the fire was somewhat protected by the trees so the rain hadn't put it out so they had some warmth. Even then-it was easily agreed by everyone that it was miserable. There wasn't a lot of food. A handful of chocolate and a few pieces of apple. However, they had managed somehow to kill a rabbit. Someone had done it with a stone. It was enough to keep them going. Now, at five o'clock, on the third night, the rain had finally dropped to a drizzle. Water was their priority. They'd finished their last of it that morning. Now, they were circled around the small fire trying to figure out what to do next. There'd been on and off sleeping. Trying to save their energy and what else was there to do?

Mel wanted to go home. She didn't even know if they had noticed her gone at this point. Her only clothes were damp and she was shivering, despite the fire that they were so determined to ensure that it didn't get put out. If that fire went out, Mel wasn't sure if they'd be able to get another one. They used that wand to make the first one. Which was next seen burning in the fire. Truly, the fire killed its own creator. Mel decided this was going to be the beginning of their own mythology. If no one came to rescue them then they will build their own society and this was the beginning of their stories. Like Kronos and Zeus but it's a wand and a fire. "We need water," she mumbled as the empty bottle was crumpled up in her hands. "There's going to be a river, right? There's always a river full of drinkable water in the movies. Has anyone seen that movie about that guy who digs in the ground and finds water? We could try that?" She was shooting out ideas. That's all. She didn't know. She was hungry. She missed Hogwarts and its never eending feasts.
