The Vintage Jukebox

The Vintage Jukebox is located in Lincliff City, not far from Lincliff Square. Built very recently, the Jukebox is themed around a 1920's American Muggle Speakeasy, where Alcohol was prohibited, and illegally sold at speakeasies. Not to worry anyone, the Jukebox is a legal establishment as Alcohol Consumption is legal in the United Kingdom. The clubhouse serves a variety of cocktails and food themed around the 1920's, and plays jazz, swing and blues music from the early 20th century from 1910 to 1950.

Chloe finally found some time too see her old friend. She was just so busy with getting ready for her interview to become an auror and other...stuff. Aka dealing with Amelia getting married to god knows who (Chloe wasn't even invited to the wedding) and then the whole Heloise situation. So Chloe had ended up not seeing Titti for a few months. Which wasn't intentional. Just blinked and suddenly it had been two months. "I'm so, so sorry," Chloe said, rubbing her face with her hands, "I didn't mean to ghost you-time is just so rare nowadays. I feel like I haven't sat down in centuries." That and Chloe just...was only now comprehending what exactly she did. Chloe didn't think Titti would be judgmental. It was just a little bit awkward to say she had cheated on her boyfriend with one of Titt's closest friend's little sister. Small world, wasn't it?

Chloe liked labels. Liked little categories she could use to understand herself and the world. Black and white, maybe. But she liked it. Of course, she began to confuse herself with the grey area over the past year or so but it was a confusing time. "We've been arguing," Chloe said with a shrug, "I don't know why. We're just not...clicking, I guess. And then auror training began and that just took up a lot of my time. And..." Chloe trailed off. She lost her twin sister and the person she was crushing on in one fell swoop. Only person she had back then was Titti, really. And she ended up disappearing. God, she was a terrible person. "But I missed you too," she said with a small smile, "only stable person in my life has been you. I keep on doing shit that makes me lose people. You, Heloise, Amelia and now Milo apparently. Mariposa was a good interviewer. She liked to do it, too. When finding out she'd be interviewing a popular model from France, recently moving (back?) to England, it was just as exciting as every other time. She had done her research and was ready for the interview. So of course Mariposa arrived ten minutes late. She had lost track of time (writing), but rushed out the door as soon as she realized her mistake. It wasn't a large chuck of time to leave this Charlotte De Villiers waiting, but enough to make the journalist nervous that it would cause a bad first impression. She spotted the model almost right after entering the club, making her put on a confident smile and walk over. "I'm so sorry," she began, setting her bag on the chair across Charlie. "I lost track of time... but I'm Mariposa. It's nice to meet you."

Charlie didn't realise the girl was the journalist. She wasn't sure why she didn't jump to the conclusion that the cute girl walking up to her was the person she was meeting. Her previous interactions with journalists was usually people above thirty. She didn't remember one who apologised for being late either. 'Mariposa' rang a bell, though. Probably included in the owl detailing this evening. Charlie grinned over at the other girl, leaning forward to hold her hand out, "it's totally fine. I just got here myself." Obvious lie considering she had eaten nearly four pieces of bread by now and the empty basket was proof of that. "It is certainly nice to meet you, call me Charlie," she said with a lop sided grin. Most people called her Charlotte or Ms. De Villiers. Both unbearable, in Charlie's opinion, so she tried to nip that in the bud before anything else. "I hope you weren't kept with anything serious."

She took the model's—Charlie's hand, glad for the other's easy forgiveness. It could be hit or miss with some celebrities. Some, similar to Charlie, might be just welcoming and pleasant while others, Mariposa occasionally had witnessed, would tell her off about their busy schedules they couldn't waste. "Nothing terrible," she admitted, sitting down in the seat she had slung her bag on. "Just busy with all the recent events going on and articles needed to cover them..." Mariposa assumed that likely, even with only recently moving back to Britain, that the other could make a guess of the sorts of events she was talking about. Honestly, it could be a reason why Charlie even bothered moving to Britain if Mariposa were to make a guess. "So, I suppose we could get started about your recent move. How have you liked England so far compared to France?"

"That would be refreshing," she responded, smiling. It was near impossible to decipher someone's character in a few seconds, but Mariposa had become intrigued to find out. She wasn't oblivious to how attractive Charlie was either—obviously fit for a model—but there were lines where a journalist's work and personal life shouldn't cross. Thinking about asking out the celebrity you're interviewing was crossing the lines for a mile, and Mariposa knew to keep in a professional state of mind. "The weather surely isn't the best," she agreed, mustering up a small chuckle, "but it has its perks. Optimism is a good mindset to have." She nodded at Charlie's question simply. "I have. Lived in England my entire life, but my mother's American." She didn't let herself stray off the topic and actual subject for too long, quickly changing to her next question memorized. "So, do you plan on doing similar model work, as you have in France, here in England? Or do you have other plans in mind, possibly?"

A large portion of Mariposa's life had been dedicated towards her work, which she was thankful enough to love doing, and to say she didn't work hard would be outrage. "Partly. I didn't feel connected to England and what was happening. I didn't have a lot of ties to the people, so I thought I'd go back to the place I was raised.
