Tristan can be a little hard to approach at first if you're not brave as he can be very persistent and upfront. He tends to naturally act stronger than he is, locking up his emotions and not letting himself get carried away, so you'll probably never see him cry. However, when faced with an uncomfortable situation, he'll try to avoid it as much as he can. When he is forced to confront it, it most likely will end disastrously as his common sense leaves him when he starts to get nervous. Although he may not seem like it, Tristan can actually be an incredibly affectionate person to those he's close with, mainly Theo. His jokes will be a lot less sharp and he likes to absolutely smother him with hugs and gifts. That doesn't mean he's still not a know-it-all with Theo. That one quality will never change no matter who it is. History Jung Ra-Eum and Jung Je-hun, two Muggles who lived in Canada, were killed in a car accident shortly after their son, Tristan or Dong-Yul, was born. Tristan's godparents, Sapphire and John Asher, both of whom had been closed to the Jung couple, took Tristan in. Sapphire was a Squib and had befriended the Jung couple without them knowing her magicla roots. After raising Tristan, she realized he must have magical blood because of his "accidents", like the time he was nine when he wanted to get the cake on top of the fridge (out of reach of both the cat and the child), and Sapphire came home and saw a chocolate-stained faced Tristan perched on the fridge, though he was far too little to have accomplished such a feat. However, she kept this a secret from him. When he went to school, he met a boy in his class just a few days younger than him, named Theo Pyeong. Over the years, their bond only strengthened, and even as Tristan was the "cute" guy in his grade, he found himself developing a crush on his childhood friend. He began going through some major confusion and emotional rollercoasters, but eventually decided to keep it to himself. These emotional ups-and-downs caused Tristan to have more accidental magic slips, and it only increased his stress. But being the cool guy he was, he kept it to himself. When they were eleven, both Tristan and Theo recieved letters from Hogwarts. Sapphire explained to him about the wizarding world since she had firsthand experience, though she had no magic herself. She used money from her family bank at Gringotts to buy him everything he needed. Tristan was overjoyed when he found out Theo had been admitted to Hogwarts too. In their fourth year, Tristan couldn't take it anymore. He confessed to Theo how he felt about him. When Theo disappeared from Hogwarts to see his family, he didn't tell Tristan. So Tristan spent the next month in utter confusion but still studying vigorously to keep up with studies.
