The le Fey family has always been one of the most infamous families in the British Isles - perhaps in Europe. With ancestors like Merlin Ambrosius and Morgana le Fey, how could they not be? More recently with the emergence of Sabrina le Fey and her Black Parade the family has only become more and more notorious.
Tristan le Fey is the son of
Dunstan le Fey and
Giovanni Belfrey, and grew up with just as lavish a lifestyle as you'd expect, along with his twin sister
Iseult. With an ex-international quidditch star for a father, they travelled often and far, and Tristan and Iseult were tutored along the way.
It was on one of these trips, to rural Australia, that Tristan found a carpet python living in the roof of a barn. Now, he'd always been fond of snakes, like other little boys are fascinated with dinosaurs or werewolves, so of course he said hello to it. Imagine his delight when it greeted him in return and named him
Speaker. After this, Tristan's love for snakes exploded into a full-blown obsession: nowadays few people he encounters know more about, or have more snakes than he does.
Aged eleven, Tristan was sent off to Durmstrang and Iseult to Beauxbatons, where they spent their first five years of magical education. Durmstrang for Tristan was a haven - there, parseltongue is still associated with dark magic but Durmstrang embraces the dark arts, and Tristan thrived on their duelling team. While perhaps not well-liked at Durmstrang, Tristan was at least well-respected. And, well, what more can you ask for?
Tristan's parents didn't like the idea of he and his sister taking their NEWT-equivalents at the end of their sixth year, so after fifth they were both packed off to Hogwarts instead, where Tristan became a Slytherin - though he was very nearly a Gryffindor. Now, he plans to hone his skills further and eventually join his aunt's mysterious Black Parade.
