Vallya is a daring girl. She sometimes loves to cause mischief (although she thinks about it first, and mostly it's just pranks on her brother). She's really friendly, and is the rather hard-working twin of the two. She could be described as a "wonderful, sunshine-y presence to be in" by either her younger sisters or brother. She thinks before speaking, and is normally calm. She's proved herself a joyful although sometimes hot tempered student in the Durmstrang hallways. Vallya believes there is always hope somewhere, because "Pandora didn't let it out yet."
Vallya is brilliant in her studies, and likes reading. She's not shy either, unlike her brother. Vallya knows how to express herself (part of the reason why she became a singer) in different ways. Sometimes she can be mean, but she doesn't intend to hurt anyone. It's pretty much her way of saying "don't bother me like that again". Vallya also has incredible memory and can memorize every lyric she has ever written or sang, and she can also memorize her brother's songs and lyrics. She also feels responsible for whatever happens to her close or loved ones.
History
The story isn't about Val's parents, nor her grandparents. It's about her great-grandparents, and how they started the business that changed their lives forever.
Let's just say, two people met at a bar. One of them was a famous singer. The other was the bartender. Valkyrie Chung and Vinzent Jiang were the couple, and they found they had a lot in common, so little by little, they started to fall in love. One of the reasons why they liked each other was also because their dreams were the same - to become pastry chefs. Now, it might not seem exciting, but the couple were more than delighted when Vinzent suggested they could open up a bakery.
So as planned, the bakery opened a few days after Vinzent and Valkyrie married. And became a huge success. The Jiangs’ signature dish was jelly donuts, so naturally the shop was called “Jiang’s Jelly Donuts”. The Jiang jelly donut recipe was passed down the family, and soon the whole family knew how to make this delicious, godly treat.
And that meant Vallya and Valentino had to learn this too. They were both born on February 14, which kinda explained why one was called Valentino and why their names both started with V (although it was kind of a family tradition now).
Vallya and Valentino proved themselves to be the next best chefs since the original Jiangs. They cooked every day, for themselves, their parents, their other siblings...almost everyone they knew. Vallya herself grew an interest of baking, and always volunteered to send their homemade cookies and donuts to the neighbours.
Asides from being a door to door sales-girl, Vallya also took time taking care of her smaller siblings and playing with Valentino. Vallya and Valentino were inseparable once they were together, and they always forgave the other if one made a huge blunder.
When Valentino picked up singing, they began singing together and found out they were pretty decent singers, even though the people they performed for said they had enough talent to get spotted by a singing company. Vallya didn't believe them at first, so she was in for a treat.
Other from singing, they also learnt the piano, but they both thought it was boring and useless (they still stand by this statement to this day). That’s when their first magical moment happened. The twins - simultaneously - made their piano sheets fly in the air (whee). The eight year old twins later then realized what happened was because of magic, since they recalled what happened with their parents, and they told Vallya and Valentino what happened and they were of magical blood.
Valentino thought it was pretty cool, but Vallya thought bigger. She asked if there was any magical schools, and her parents said she was way too young to attend one at her age. So Vallya couldn't wait until she turned eleven.
They moved to Europe at some time before the twins' tenth birthday, and they attended Durmstrang there. When the twins were in their third year of Durmstrang, Valentino somehow managed to convince Vallya to sing a duet together and post it on social media. That attracted a lot of attention. Even the attention of a few singing brands and scouts. They later joined Alohomora and became signed artists - although that didn't happen until they had trained for months.
Vallya, with all this popularity happening around her, managed to keep a low profile at school and not let anybody find out about her "true self" (since she used another name in the music world anyway). So whenever someone said something like "Hey, you look like that famous singer" she would smile, say thanks and rush off, hoping the person wouldn't notice she was her. Her brother, though, didn't do as great. His cover was blown when they were a fifth year at Durmstrang. Valentino couldn't survive another year in there. It was too much. Since everyone knew Vallya was Valentino's twin, it wouldn't be long until they found out who she was too. And Vallya saw the pain and annoyance her brother had to go through every night he went back to his own dorm. She didn't want that - to attract too much attention until it was annoying and impossible to live with.
By the time they both released their debut EP albums, it was the end of her and her brother's sixth year. And they realized this was just going to make things worse. They seriously then wanted to move to England and enroll into Hogwarts as new seventh years. Their parents agreed, although they told them it would be a big and sudden change and it would be a rush to get ready for a new school, but Vallya and Valentino wouldn't care the least.
As long as they had a new life, they could start over, hoping and praying nobody made the connection with Vallya and a certain singer and Valentino with another certain singer. Hopefully.
