Viaduct

The Viaduct is an immense stone bridge in Hogwarts, which spans a gaping chasm. There is a safety balustrade, also built of stone, on each side of the bridge, to prevent people falling. At night, torches are lit to provide lighting. The Viaduct connects the courtyard. The bridge has many arches, with smaller and more frequent ones on the upper part and longer, larger but fewer below it, maybe to act as support. In the Battle of Hogwarts, animated stone soldiers were placed on the Viaduct.

A full moon was approaching in the coming days, so he was left pale and sore. Fresh air certainly gave him some sort of temporary relief, so he crawled out from the depths of the Hufflepuff dormitories to curl up against the stone fencing of the viaduct. Amor stares up at the sunset ahead of him, capturing a few pictures on his phone before shifting and standing to lean over the edge of the viaduct. His shoulders and arms flex as he stares down into the ravine, singing the words to some stupid eighties love song to himself as he taps his index fingers against the stone. His mental troubles all seem to be exacerbated during this time of month. He's just such a hormonal mess; the loneliness from the winter holiday does not make that any easier. He must admit as much. So, there he stands: leaning over the pit and singing quietly to himself as he tries to think of happier things. Like Arden. Selphie Arden? Sunshine Arden? Sibongile Arden? He still doesn't know and the thought immediately elicits a small chuckle.

Mira seemed to be limping wherever she went nowadays. Quidditch. It was quidditch. It seemed like a battle ground every time she stepped onto the pitch. She was pretty sure Malia Sakellarios was sick of her turning up to cry in her office about quidditch. Christmas holidays meant freedom. Or it should have been. Apparently she needed to plan strategy. Who knew how to do that. But she'd spent that particular day off and she'd spent it in Hogsmeade. She spent a few days home but came back early. Her mum's didn't need to see her cry over quidditch. She was never playing again after this year. She wouldn't apply for anything next year and if she got a letter addressed to her she was burning it and playing dumb. She walked past Amor but her eyes focussed onto him in a heartbeat before shuffling over to peek over the viaduct herself. "What's so interesting?"

Amor was undecided on if he wanted the company, but he grinned and turned towards her immediately anyway. He's good at turning it on when he has to. Very few people have noticed before and he prefers it that way. The last thing he needs is people harassing him about whatever has him down and ill. God forbid. What would he even tell them? Faking some sort of disease seems wholly inappropriate, but telling them the real disease seems...too vulnerable for him. "Just something me and...my friend try to find. It's this small little crevice in the rock that peeks down into the dungeons." It confuses him that no one has ever tried to correct this issue in the design, but he loves the pit. He doesn't elaborate out of fear that she will want to find the pit and he doesn't want that. It's secret, and also he loves not getting caught making out with Arden. Not that he doesn't want to be seen with Arden (and it happened a long time ago), but he doesn't necessarily want to be walked on. Seems natural. After he's finished explaining, he notices how beaten up she seems, but he is pale and sickly and he wouldn't want to be pushed on the matter. He decides not to acknowledge it.

Mira wasn't going to notice whether he was being sincere or not-honestly, she might have actually kept on talking even if he made it apparent that he didn't want company. She was a lot of things but being good with boundaries wasn't one of them. "Wait...really?" She asked as she began to lean over the edge as well to try and catch a glimpse. "I haven't heard of that." Now that was going to be an area she was going to survey. Maybe even do a video in there. It'd create a nice atmosphere. She's barely had any time to film lately because of stupid quidditch. She wants to rectify that. She truly does. "Just a friend, huh?" She asked as she pulled out a water bottle with a straw. Look-the pause was enough to clue her in and really-who was hanging out in a dark dungeon alone? She had little faith in the teenage person, let alone a teenage boy. Was she assuming the guy wasn't ace? Yes. Was she being nosey? Yes. Was she being rude? Probably just a little bit. But she was curious.
