It's been a pretty slow day for Ced, on the whole. Summer has drawn in all the student interns and she's more than happy letting them do all the work, meanwhile Clarence is knee-deep in blueprints for the space travel program they've been finetuning for the past few years. So, she's at her desk, aimlessly flicking through her diary when she hears the knock. "Come in!"

He wanders in, taking in her office. It's so....homely in comparison to the rest of the building. "Hi. I'm Bjorn, I applied late for an internship and they directed me here. You must be Ms Ackerman?" He asks. She looks far more intimidating than he expected, but doesn't let it on.

He seems like a nice kid. Cedrica makes her way over to the coffee machine, fiddling with the buttons and trying to find the strongest coffee possible. "I'm doing just fine, thank you. A bit bored, if I'm honest. Most of my work gets done at that desk." Then she pulls down a glass from the shelf above. "Would you like something to drink? I've got squash, hot chocolate, lemonade..."

"The minions do the lab work," she winks, handing him the glass then returning to her desk. "Or Clarence, when he's not devouring all the cakes from the canteen. You didn't hear this from me, but I had to buy in extra chocolate muffins because he goes through them so fast." Her chair swivels a little as she sits down. "So, Bjorn - internships. Is there any area of WizCo you'd prefer to focus on? Any particular projects?"

He grins at Cedrica talking about Clarence. It's weird. His dads never spoke like this to him. Maybe because of the parade. Maybe just because they're men. He shifts in his seat slightly. "Actually, yes." He says. "I have a bit of a personal goal. My...my brother lost his hearing. From a rogue curse. He's an auror, you see." He explains. "We've tried...lots of things. I want to create some sort of magical hearing aid. A combination of muggle hearing aid with some magic." He stops - waiting to see her response.

Her brow dips a little as she listens, though her smile remains in place; having been Head of Tech for several years when she was younger, she's kept in touch with several of the Aurors who she befriended, and she'd know if someone had experienced such a thing. It would be the talk of the town. "I see," she says, kindly. "I heard of the recent attack on a couple of Aurors, but one of them was a Prince, so I assume that's not the incident you're referring to? Unless you are, and I should have bowed when you walked in," she adds with a grin. "But a rogue curse? And no one's identified it yet?"

He smiles sadly, "I'm no prince, Ms- Cedrica" He politely corrects himself. Bjorn shakes his head, his curls bouncing ever so slightly. "My dad's a potioneer. The best I know. He couldn't come up with an antidote. We tried several countercurses too. Supersensory charms, the lot of it." He explains. "That's why I was late in applying. I wasn't planning on applying yet, but I thought about how good you guys are at creating solutions." He admits.

It makes her heart melt, listening to him talk; it makes her think of Lei, strangely enough. "Well, Bjorn," she begins, thinking for a few seconds. "We have two divisions you'd be suited to. There's Spell Creation, where we can attempt to identify the curse - if you could get your brother to come in so we could do an examination, that would be extremely helpful. Or there's Electronics, which would focus more on the creation of the hearing aid. We put interns in only one section or the workload becomes too much."
