This zoo is in downtown London and has a wide variety of animals. It's not far from Hyde Park. It's a great place to take the family and spend the day exploring and watching muggle animals.

It was a somewhat warm day for Adam's standards but he was still a little taken aback by every Brit insisting that it was boiling. Everyone was in t-shirts and shorts and drinking buckets of water. At least they were hydrated. Adam was walking around the zoo. He's a graduate and he had nothing to do with his time. What was he going to even do? Go to a muggle college? Sorry, university. And he didn't even know what he'd take. What was there to study? Was every English university like the one in Dead Poets Society? Would he have to shoot himself dramatically because he cannot act? Who would even tell him he can't? Maybe the dean or whatever. Blaring ABBA from his phone, people were giving him weird looks but he didn't care. He thinks the monkeys like Hasta Manana if you asked him. His headphones broke so, you know, what can you do? Maybe the wizarding community was lucky that Adam was a squib. Or else he might have fixed them in front of a train full of muggles. Adam was totally a responsible adult.

It is boiling, at least by Elijah's standards; anything above fifteen or sixteen degrees is considered t-shirt weather, and today is one of the rare occasions he's actually wearing one. The choice of outing wasn't his, believe it or not. One of the perks of attending sixth form in London is that most of your classmates tend to stay in the city for university too, so nobody is ever more than an hour or so away from each other and days out are easy to coordinate - not that the zoo was exactly top of his list but whatever, it gets him out in the sunshine. Fuck knows where his friends are, either; they seem to have scattered. The encounter with Divya has left him still pretty rattled so he's doing his best not to think about it, wandering idly through the crowd with his hands in his pockets and his earphones in - though the sound of someone blasting ABBA songs manages to cut through his own music.

Adam hasn't quite noticed Elijah yet-but, like, why would he? Not like wizards had a big red sign going 'i know about the magic world!!!' floating above them. As far as Adam knew, the guy was your typical muggle. Adam, as a squib, wasn't a typical muggle. He was a muggle with spice. A muggle with spice who was going to be asked to leave because someone just asked him to turn the music off. His reaction? Saying no and turning the music louder. Who could ever consider turning ABBA down? Let alone off? Blasphemous. Adam kicked off the barriers overlooking the monkeys to turn and leave for the elephants when he ended up heading straight for Elijah.

The commotion is enough to attract his attention even further, the sound of barriers clattering over and those Swedish singers getting even louder irritating enough for him to give up and just take his earphones out. Of course it's a kid his age causing the ruckus - he doesn't recognise him, so thankfully it isn't one of his uni mates. "Turn it down," he grumbles as the guy heads straight towards him, though he doubts he can be heard over all the ABBA. Not exactly his taste. "You're pissing everybody off. Including the animals."

Honestly-this time he did turn it down. Why? Because he couldn't really concentrate on the other guy who was around his age and he didn't want to hurt the animals. "The only animals here are the people getting mad about abba, they're as vital to your ears as food is to your stomach," he said, way too confidently. Luckily, the guy had said something otherwise he would have crashed straight into him. "Not my fault my headphones broke, I would have them on otherwise. Look!" He said as he pulled out his earpods. One had been smashed and you could see the insides of it with the little ear thing dangling off a wire. "Don't suppose you know the quickest place to buy a new pair?"

It takes him a few seconds to realise the guy is even still talking to him, quirking an eyebrow at the sheer enthusiasm about a Swedish quartet and rolling his eyes a tad. Regardless of how good the weather is and how cheery everybody seems, it feels doubtful that any animal is enjoying being trapped in a cage as ABBA blares out at them from a passing human. The busted earphones make him frown a little - the last time he'd broken his own headphones, Elijah had fixed them almost accidentally with a spell, learning right there and then that he can fix things magically - before his brain kicks back into gear. "You can purchase some at the gift shop. Though they'll likely be shitty and cheap. If you want a decent pair, try pretty much any shop in London." Even Tesco sell ones that don't sound like absolute garbage.

"How come the zoo has such shitty ones? You'd think they could make a good buck out of animal themed headphones," Adam remarked before taking another look at him. "Hey, say, have I seen you before? I feel like I know you from somewhere. Are you like a musician or something?" He didn't want to say magical or muggle but he swore he's seen his face before. Adam's memory could be surprisingly good here and there. And he was good with stranger's faces.
