Reginald Swanson was the son of an elite line of business royalty. He and his three brothers were held to a higher standard than most children. A lot was expected of them. The Swansons were a notorious bloodline of entrepreneurs - every Swanson was expected to take over the family business or create one of their own. Because Reginald's oldest brother was in line to claim their father's oil business, he had to come up with something of his own. Of course, he had school before that was a real issue.
He attended Hogwarts and entered the Slytherin house with other ambitious students that he was able to befriend. Reginald was the top of his class, as to be expected, and also was a star quidditch player. As such, he tended to catch many of the ladies' eyes. But there was only one he really cared about - Lee Jimin. Jimin was an incredibly intelligent woman, Ravenclaw prefect, and a damn good chaser. She never looked at Reginald the way other women did. She didn't ogle or fawn over him. He was her equal. It wasn't until Reginald pulled out all the stops that she gave him the time of day.
He eventually won over her heart (once he finally pulled his head out of his ass and learned some humility), and they started dating their last year at Hogwarts. After graduation, Jimin went off to law school and Reginald went to study business. They dated long distance, and it worked out pretty well. At business school, Reginald thrived and again found his way to the top of the class. It wasn't long before he would meet his best friend Markus Ryu. The two studied together, grabbed drinks together, did random stupid stuff young men do together. They even began working on a project together that would be revolutionary.
They agreed to be co-owners of a technology business called ACE. Through late nights and multiple coffee runs, Reginald and Markus were able to come up with an idea for an improved program for AI functions, making them easier and more efficient. It was a week before ACE and their new AI program was to launch when Reginald woke up to a confusing phone call. It was Jimin. She'd seen ACE on the news and started the conversation wondering why the company had launched a week early, and furthermore, why Reginald wasn't a part of it. Confused and angry, Reginald turned on the local news and sure enough ACE had launched and there Markus was, smiling and cutting a red ribbon in front of what was supposed to be their building.
Reginald had it out with Markus who had completely written him off the project. All his contributions and ideas - stolen and credited to Markus. Of course, after he realized Markus wasn't going to budge, Reginald filed a law suit against him. Problem was, Reginald didn't have any proof. Anything that would've indicated his contribution had been wiped. There was no contract because Reginald never saw the need for one. Markus was his friend. At least, he thought he was.
Jimin came to help with the legal things, but their case was shaky at best. They only had a few witnesses to the collaboration. Witnesses that suddenly backed out after coincidentally getting jobs at Markus' company. As expected, they lost the trial, and Reginald was left in the cold. The media blew up, and their feud was publicized for about two years. That was when Reginald went off and started his own tech company: Kings Corporation.
Reginald and Jimin were married a year and a half after Kings Co. launched, and the following year, were blessed with a baby girl. Three years after Hera, baby Zeus was born on February 8th. He grew up like your average Swanson, raised and tailored to inherit Kings Co. He and Hera were going to own it together when they were old enough. Of course, they'd have to get past their sibling's quarrels before they could actually work together.
Hera and Zeus were your usual brother and sister, always picking on each other and teasing. It was a normal relationship and the bottom line was that no matter how much they fought, they'd still kill for each other. When Zeus was six, Hera took one of their fights a bit too far and set his signed broomstick on fire - it was his most prized possession and was signed by all the Wimbourne Wasps. Furious, Zeus retorted with setting her hair on fire. They were both grounded for a month. But hey, good news was that Zeus wasn't a squib.
At eleven, Zeus went to Hogwarts, but he didn't have an easy time like his father or mother did. He was smart, sure, and excelled in all his studies, but socially, he couldn't keep up. He found people far too annoying, but that was alright because people found him far too much of an ass. He couldn't get through a conversation without being rude. Zeus picked up quidditch too, easily finding a spot as a chaser. Classes and games were a breeze. Save for Jesse. He's tied with Zeus for the top of their class, which wouldn't be so terrible if he weren't the son of Reginald's arch nemesis. Now Zeus just had to figure out how to make friends. Oh, and how to beat Jesse Ryu's ass. There was that too.
